What energy rating does this have nowadays?
Unfortunately the older models haven't been rated with the newer energy raing calculations. It is safe to say that the newer models are a lot more efficient as technology as well as the refrigerant has changed since this model was released.

The swing function has stopped working. Could it be because the system needs new filters? (installed in 2006 but rarely used). I am using this for heating as we are replacing our current heater. Is it safe to use without this function?

My ASTA18LCC has been working perfectly since early 2008 (THANKS FUJITSU :-)) My question is about the filter replacement. The large filters are easy to find & replace but the smaller ion and bacterial filters are a mystery to me... why are they so expensive and why do they come in sets of two? That is - each pack has either two ion filters or two bacterial filters, but the unit can only take two filters. Do I really have to choose between ion or bacterial, or else buy both kinds and use one of each kind in the air conditioner. My larger ASTA 24LCC has a two pack which includes one of each kind (ion and bacterial). Any guidance gratefully received

We have purchased a home with this model. Can you please tell us what year it was first produced. we have trouble with it turning off during operation. Light flashes and it closes down.
