2016 holden trax occasionally when turned on shudders does not do it when driving the car
I’m looking at buying a 2019 LTZ Trax with 65,0000km with full & on time service history. Anyone got any feedback they can provide on this car if they have the same year & model. Positive & negative feedback is welcome.
Depends on asking price. I have half that mileage for a 2020 LT. I bought it new. It goes well. Holden Service is terrible where I live, so will go Ultratune in future. It doesn't have all those stupid annoying beeps and bongs of the Chinese vehicles.... It only had the battery replaced after 5 years.....
Thanks for taking the time to reply Terry. I’ve knocked the price down from $18,846 to $18,000 with a $12,500 trade in. I have my own very good mechanic as there is not a dedicated Holden repairer where I live, so I think on that score I’ve got it covered. There are many bad reviews on the Trax but appears that many are for the older models i.e. 2017 and prior.
I have 2015 Trax. Very little air coming of the air vents. Fan and fan speed all working fine. Air coming out the vent when move the controls for the direction on each one. Has anyone had this fault.

My holden service centre told me to only fill wiper washer with water to 2020TJ TRAX. If you put in additive it can cause blockage. Is this True?
We have a 2013 Trax, replaced water pump 6mths ago replaced header tank 2mths ago now using coolant again, not that much about 1/8 inch this time. Question...... is this something to be concerned about as we live in the bush mechanics few and far between cheers,
I just got my trax 4 days ago it's throwing a code 84 seems to drive ok but I've noticed sometimes it runs for 30sec after I remove key
RTFM. Check your manual. Depends on the year model. Take it to one of the old Holden dealers.
Cooling system failed in less than 40,000 k’s. Repaired under warranty. The top Coolant reservoir cracked and leaked. Now more leaks have developed around hoses. Wondering if this is a common problem with my 2017 Trax. Warranty nearly finished. Time to trade in?
I have replaced the reservoir 5 times, continually have trouble with coolant leaking, if I had the money I'd get rid of this car asap, trouble from start

Howlong for a parked Trax take to cool
Hi , my 2014 Trax has started like missing a beat . Really is worse when I first start it but happens when driving also . Just had in for service and diagnosis check at Holden . Told me could be coolant issues as was very low and leaking. But it is still doing it . Anyone had this issue?
Replace the coolant container they get small holes in them. I've had nothing but trouble with the cooling system, replaced every part now 3k later seems to be ok, now I have engine light light on get it reset and within 5 minutes it's back, every mechanic just says it's not a good car
Hi ,I have a Holden My18Trax 1.4 litre turbo auto. From time to time code 34 comes up in the screen it can stay for a day or 2 then it disappears this happens intermittently. My car is serviced in accordance with my service book. it only goes to the dealership I bough it from new, it has 35 thousand kilometres to this day. I have from time to time asked the dealership what it means but never get a reasonable answer as I dont think they know either why it happens. I have been searching on the internet for answers reading my owners manual to no avail. I would love some sort of help to understand what it is . Thank You Robin
Why is it that my 2019 Holden trax turbo has had to get turbo replaced within 2 years of being purchased new and then radiator hose twice needing to be repaired
Sorry to say we bought lemons when we bought these cars, I've had nothing but trouble and spent a fortune on a 5 yo car, disgraceful, never again!

My trax is looking coolant from the thermostat house. Could it be the outlet or inlet valve that is on the top of the housing.
Mine was the thermostat housing plus the cooling system, just 3 days ago the coolant overflow container had a leak, absolutely the worse car I've owned, I've had cars for 15 Years never had these problems
Absolutely agree! Engine replaced, coolant problems. We have spent nearly 15k over last 3 years. Cause of so much stress and anxiety. Just been offered 5k for trade in. Going to take it to be rid of it
