how do i find the paint code
Could you please advise which color paint are you chasing i can find out for you
If you're looking for the color details, they can typically be found on the passenger side door or in the logbook.
It's actually in a little compartment under the passenger side windscreen wiper (you need to lift the wiper up and look under from outside the car, I am not joking). It took me 45 minutes to find it myself when I was looking.
How much fuel is left when my 2010 Honda Accord Euro says 0.00L left? Is there any reserve petrol?
No reserve petrol, the warning light had come on long ago. You are dry and may well damage fuel pump.
Yeah right because I got stuck and drove about 20km after 0.00L showed so incase of another emergency I was just wondering if there was a reserve like some other cars have. Thanks for answering though.
Hi, my honda accord euro 2010 having issue with Air Conditioner, the passenger side vert is blow out cool air but the driver side vert is blow out warm air. any help please.... Thanks
Hi Trang, I’m not familiar with this particular model, however it may be that the climate control air conditioning had an issue. I would advise you to seek out a reputable auto electrician who may be able to assist Regards steve
I have Honda accord Euro 2010. It consumes engine oil very rapidly. There is no leakage found. Is it on recall? Any one know about this problem, what is the solution other than changing whole engine, suggested by my local service center.
Ive heard it is reasonably common. Many people recommend using a heavier grade oil. Mine uses only a small amount maybe 0.2 Ltr per month. I dont know of any recalls other than for the airbags. There is a website you can check your car recall work.
Hi Syed, I can email you a 29 page service bulletin from Honda detailing how to fix the problem.
Hi Terry, Yes please. I tried one thing and want to share with everyone. At start I wait for 3-4 minutes to get engine warm and rpm gets down below 1000. After warming engine and bringing rpm below 1000, driving the car is not reducing the engine oil. I checked oil level every week up to 1500 km drive, no oil consumption found.
Can i also please have the 29 page service bulletin.. I've also got the same problem with my accord euro
Hi Terry. Can i also have the 29 page service bulletin please. I owned accord euro 2012. Thank you.
Hi Terry, is it possible you send me that bulletin too please?
Hi Terry. Can I ask for a copy as well. Thanks
Hi Terry. Can i also have the 29 page service bulletin please.
Anyone wanting the service bulletin the link below should contain it. Sorry I haven't been notified of these comments and only found them by chance

On freeway when I accelerate over 100km i feel the car rattle. What does that mean?
Why hasn't Honda Australia contacted me in regards to rebuilding my engine and fixed the intermittent failure of the electrical systems that result in loss of instruments, air conditioning and power steering?
Hi, my multi info display (trip computer) is not working. The backing lights do, but no lcd letters/numbers. Any ideas?
Oil leaking from front engine mount. Please help.
mine is a 2010 Accord Euro with 101000km ...on warm days (over 28C) there's a clunk when braking and accelerating in traffic. Got it checked and the mechanic said the steering column u-joint needs to be replaced... My service is coming up so i tried to schedule the repair and service from the dealer i purchased and the guy over there said the entire rack might need to be replaced (he didn't examine the car) cos only the u-joint cannot be replaced.
1. is this true?
2. how much for the u-joint only?
3. how much for the steering rack?
take it to your honda dealer service dept , and ask them to give a quote to fix this problem , they will get there service tech to check over and take it for a test drive to find the problem , from my experience with the honda cars over the last twenty years as a parts manager for a honda dealership , clunking noises when braking and accelerating
are to with engine mounts , suspension and maybe rack mounting bushes ,
Excessive Engine oil consumption!! 1 Litre / 1000kms
I recently bought a second hand Honda accord euro 2008 (8th gen), 130,000 kms.
Having some issues with engine oil consumption. I have monitored and found out it consumes 1 Litre per 1000 kms.
Just wondering if anyone has this issue? Is it considered excessive? and what should I do? because engine oil synthetic is not cheap at all.
Thanks
the canberra dealer told me they put in a different oil when servicing , so as to cut down consumption , still a honda oil
I am not a mechanic but 1 litre per 1000 km is a lot.. I would suggest, that you ask the dealer what the deal is, as I don't think that is normal.
Thanks for replying. Updates (different views): 1. My Honda dealer (Service manager) said its within the range as per manual (which says up to 1 L/1000kms). 2. Called another Honda dealer - said this was excessive oil consumption - advised to change and flush my current oil (5w30) to 10w30.
3. Friend mechanic said need to check/change the PVC valve
4. My current mechanic said just add oil! Will defo change mechanic for next service
try castrol edge 5w40. Not the 5w30.
i am having the same problem and my dealer's service man is saying that it is normal so far, but others are saying it is not. I think these cars have problem. I had no oil at all after 3000 kms that is so surprising.
Thanks Argey.
Would you know how much oil it's consuming when using Castrol edge 5W40? (L/kms)
Update: I was topping up 10w40 full syn oil from my 5w30. Now the oil consumption is 1L per 2000 kms.
Sorry I didn't see your response till now. My usage is about 1L between services. About 8000km and 1 year. If you actually change your oil with the edge 5 40 then that should improve i think. This engine does seem to use 5w30 whereas my crv which is very similar engine uses no 5w30. The edge willl hold its viscosity over time far better than non full synthetic. Its seems to clean the engine and ever resolve seal leaks. Sometimes will use more oil at first change then improves after the additives have done their magic I suppose.
I got the same car and same problem with the engine of the car. The car always show notice low oil pressure after 1500-2000km. I tried castrol it couldn’t fix. However, when i used nulon full syn 5w30, it worked. I just have to change the oil after done 7000km. Hope this can help you.
There is a service bulletin from America that says they did something wrong while assembling the engines, and any customers that had the problem would have their engine rebuilt by Honda. Of course in Australia they just make excuses and lies.
Have had the euro luxury since new in may 09 , reverse camera/navigation intermittently doesn't work , has had a flat battery a few times, then recharged, have ejected the disc in the boot & reinstalled & works again, but wil occasionally not work , but next time reverse is selected is ok, is there some type of reset operation ?
Sorry I don't have the navi model.
Recently got a 2008 Honda Accord Euro from a Honda dealer, done around 103,000 km. The fuel consumption is really high even drive in frugal style. For day to day drive the fuel consumption average at 12.5 L/100km, in city it can go beyond 14 L/100km. I have driven more than 15 different cars before and this is the highest I have even seen on a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine. Have been reading other owners' fuel consumption average at around 8-10 L/100km. What could be wrong with mine?
I have never experienced that level of consumption.(31,000km now) I am a reasonably frugal driver and I use 98 Octane, but I cannot recall ever getting into double digits. I get around low 7's to high 9's depending on the type of trips; so that is in line with what you read in the manual. I even got into 6's on a run to Brisbane up the interstate. I would get it checked out. You also might ask if it is running stock tyres/rims and if not what impact would might have.
That is high. I've done 93000kms. I do drive mine hard, using paddles to keep revs up etc. I get about 10.4L/100km. A little better when I take it easy - low 9L/100km. I do keen an eye on my tyre pressure though. I got amazing life out of my Michelin tyres - about 87000kms.
That is very high consumption if you do drive it in a conservative manner . I use 98 octane usually shell, I drive from Goldcoast to Sydney on one tank of fuel. There is something wrong buy the sounds of it weather it's CPU or another thing . Good luck with your investigating
Thanks for the feedback. I only use 98 octane since I got the car. Rang Honda this morning and will bring in for a check tomorrow. Will keep you guys updated.
I went to Honda today but I am not very impress in overall. The front desk staff wanted to charge me at the beginning while I got the car from them less than 3 months, then kept trying to imprint the idea of MAYBE that is how the car suppose to perform and I kept telling him that it is not throughout the whole process. They cannot spot anything wrong with the car and have reset the computer, wanted me to reset the odometer and monitor it and see the performance. While driving on the way back to work I noticed straight away that the issue has not been resolved due to the reading shows on the trip computer. The front desk staff even asked me how I work out the fuel consumption and while explaining to him that there is a reading in the car computed by the system, I was speechless within...
Anyway will ring them again tomorrow and ask if they can provide any more useful alternatives or else I will ask for a refund as the last resort. Cannot afford this fuel consumption in long term, it's like driving a V8 car...
never had high fuel consumptions on my 2011 car. I have used 98RON using Shell and drive hard (overspeed) on week day to work and from work to home and also weekend including both Saturday and Sunday for Mrs buying groceries, my son's sport, etc and lasted only half a tank. As my car is a manual car, I have found the average fuel consumption is between 8.3l to 8.9l. If driving to Brisbane from Canberra, the car would consume 1 tank and a quarter so it is very economical. I would suggest you check your car tyres. What I would do is pump up the tyre pressures to 36psi for front wheels and back wheels, then reset your speedometer to zero and have a full tank. Drive until the speedometer reaches to 100km, fuel up and see how much fuel consumption is on your car. If I drive my car as frugal style on 98RON, the car would consume fuel less than half a tank. Good luck.
I did a registration search on a 2010 accord Euro manual I'm looking at buying from a Mazda dealership in sydney and it has had 3 private owners not including the car yard as an owner and it's only done 64000km. The vin is JHMCU2580BC201579. I contacted the servicing dealer but they wouldn't let me know if there are issues with the car, is there any way I can find out more?
Hey shamus79
Ask them for the service history it should have been serviced every 6 months regardless of the kms. Don't buy without service history. Too many owners for my liking. Good luck.
Yeah the yard selling it told me the services it had, which was every 6000-8000km which was fine but there was 20000 between the last 2. I rang Honda Australia and they had all services listed but no km readings (all at the same dealer) they also said there was no record of warranty work which is good but doesn't explain the 3 owners in 60000km. Just concerned about the talk of the odd Euro with excessive oil consumption. I have a local mechanic in the area going to have a look on my behalf so he may tell me what owner details are in the service book and I will contact them. The car yard said they can't tell me but I can have a look at the book and do what I want, bit hard being over 1000km away though.
Is it unwise to rev the engine to 7000 rpm. Accord Euro 2013
Falcone - what does the engine do when you try? I know some (most) new engines will not allow you to stamp on the accelerator like the old days, and at a certain RPM a safety system kicks in and stutters the engine to prevent over-revving. Is it doing this?
To rev an any engine for no good reason is unwise though if you do rev it up that much make sure you change the gears otherwise you could damage the engine
I have a 2009 Honda Accord Euro and I have just had a new battery put in b/c the old one was flat. The car is driving fine however I am unable to set the clock or use the radio as it is asking for a code to be entered. I have no idea what it could be. Anyone know what they could mean?
ring honda, quote your VIN and they should give you the security code.
You could also try typing the question into the google Australia search engine
My accord euro has the multivision screen stuck on the navagation site, it flashes on and off on that site and I cannot getout of that screen to control the other features. Can anyone help?
You could try contacting Honda Australia or try google search engine or you could try even reading the manual
2012 euro luxury auto. 5500kms engine does not accelerate every time when pulling away from stand still, power falls to zero at low speeds when on roundabout, very scary (dangerous) in stop-start traffic because i do not know if it will accelerate or sit for a couple of seconds before surging away. very similar to "turbo-lag" but not consistent . first noticed before 6 month service and ecu re-set but obviously has not solved problem which is now becoming more frequent. any suggestions other than sell it before it kills me?
Hi Keith. Yes we noticed the lag but to be honest we came from a Mazda bravo diesel ute that had more lag than a bunch of high school drop outs lining up for their OP scores...... So we still didn't find it that bad. We just drove it knowing it would hav that lag but when it kicked in it would lurch forward and catch up to where it should have been. I swear peeps thought I couldn't drive an automatic!!
In answer to your question regarding slow acceleration on the Honda Accord euro 2012, I'm afraid that I'm having the same trouble very slow acceleration on starting, I think now that I've read the above review I will complain to Honda!!
Might have the answer. I took the car to gorell honda at geelong (where I originally bought it) and after a very satisfactory service that included a fully-comprehensive re-setting of both gearbox and engine computer maps and a discussion on driving habits, it now seems to be operating safely and correctly. the main problem appears to have been my use of left-foot braking in stop-start traffic where any contact with the foot brake automatically drops engine revs so that the car will not accelerate until the brake is fully released and the throttle operated. try this for yourself. honda aus was in touch with gorell during the whole service so they are aware of the problem and solution.
Hi Keith, our 2012 car has same problem and will highlight this to local Honda in Albany. Nearly killed husband on major roundabout, happened three times in one week, but as you are saying technique? I have also been unable to replicate problem. Local Honda were unable to replicate problem or solve it. Very dangerous.
Hello Keith. I have never experienced this problem and my 2009 Euro has been completely flawless over 83,000 km. However I never use left foot braking because I drive manual cars from time to time, so this is consistent with the explanation from the dealer in Geelong.
That sounds dangerous I would get that problem fixed as soon as possible by a Honda workshop or a quality trustworthy honest and reliable mechanical shop as the engine powers the brakes and if the engine is off the brakes work nowhere near as good as they should
