Can’t seem to lock down mechanism on top of can. Tried two and rapidly managing to poison myself! Is there some trick to it rather than just holding it down hard?
yeah I had to use a screw driver as a lever and then I hit it with a hammer

Yes, I think the longer you leave it before returning to the premises and opening windows etc. the better

It will kill the cockroaches but I wouldn’t do that, inside a Car can get too hot and might vapour some of it and you might get poisoned through air. Specially Kids. We don’t know the level of this poison. Could harm you, with temperature changes. Safety wise don’t use it for a Car.
Should I turn of my gas ?and also the electricity
I turned off all electrical at the PowerPoint, not sure about gas as the only gas I had was the stove and that was off.
