PE344629 purchased 19/7/2018 Nine(9) Pocket springs Wake up all the time with lower back pain. I don't have the Guarantee Brochure any more (only the receipt). I think it can be returned and exchanged within 12 months. I specifically bought this new mattress so as to not have this pain, from being in bed. I don't understand why a new mattress should produce lower back pain.

Hi George. To answer your question "why would a new mattress give lower back pain" well it depends on several factors. Your weight your sleep position if you have previous back issues etc. The heavier you are the more cushioning and better support you need from a mattress. If you are a side sleeper you especially need cushioning for your hip and shoulder.Tummy sleepers need a lot of support.It takes 3 months on average to get used to a new mattress. As old mattresses give little support your back may be protesting against the new support its recieving.Try to bear with it a little longer but if you absolutely cant then yes Ikea will exchange your mattress if it is perfectly clean and you have your reciept. If you DO exchange it lay down on the new mattress no less than a half hour. Your body needs this time to decide if the mattress works for you.
Hi the mattress is comfy but I seem to be itchy whilst lying in bed although it is supposed to be hypoallergenic. Is this normal?
I was never itchy on the mattress. Perhaps check with IKEA if it’s a brand new mattress or if there might be something you are allergic to in it. It’s also unlikely you are sleeping directly on the mattress so check if the mattress protector (if you use one) isn’t the issue or the detergent you wash the fitted sheet in
my bed's mattress space is 152.5*200cm an i'm gonna buy the 160*200 cm but i'm wondering if it could fit?

Sorry but my husband and I are average weight so I couldn't say,I would ask at the bed department in Ikea that way if it isn't suitable you can return it

We bought one week and still smells really bad, have been airing it every day. Had the family over for dinner they all complained about the smell even with the door to the bedroom closed. It makes the whole house smell. Its like sleeping on a sewer. Any sugestions would be appreciated. We are too far away to just return it easily.

I didn,t have any issues with our mattress,there was no smell on opening the plastic covering and it's been perfect since,maybe you just got a bad one,can you not return it at ikeas expense?
