Does anyone know how to factory reset roomba 780? My bot won't pair with brand new lighthouse (81002), tried all means but not working. Maybe the factory reset is the final resort. Thanks in advance.

I have a Roomba 780 and it has had very little use. It has been in storage for several years. I cleaned it out and replaced all the brushes but it’s not collecting the dirt into the dirt chamber. I read all the troubleshooting in the manual and took off the cleaning head and checked the gears for a potential jam. Everything was in good order. Technically the machine is working perfectly. I don’t know what to do next.

This is great…. not one offer of advice. I have purchased a complete new cleaning head and still its not putting any dirt in the bin. Very disappointed.

Hold down the clean button while docked for 10+ seconds. this resets the software. Will not harm the roomba.

In Australia, we use 220v. If you have used 220v against the recommended 110v then you might have ruined your machine. Not too sure if fixable or how much it’s going to cost you to get repaired, I am unable to advise.

My Roomba 780 used to die after doing a bit of cleaning and never returned to the docking station. Replaced the battery and also properly cleaned the caster wheel, removed all debris. Still its not completing the floor cleaning and dies on the floor; not returning to the docking station. What can be done to fix this issue? Thx Arvind

How to I erase a scheduled cleaning?

Hi Nancy, you can erase scheduled cleanings on your Roomba 700 series by following the steps below: 1. Press SCHEDULE. 2. Press DAY to cycle through the scheduled cleaning times. 3. When Roomba displays the scheduled cleaning time you’d like to delete, press and hold DAY for five seconds. Roomba will beep to indicate the cleaning time has been deleted. 4. Press OK.

The code r5t keeps appearing on my roomba on it's own and I can't get it to clear. No other buttons are working while this error code is on. The battery isn't a year old yet, not sure if that could be it or the charging dock or the computer board?

hi guys, had my 780 for a while, but lately it has been playing up. Firstly, 1/ When it is fully charged, it goes for a few minutes then stops, stating that the brush cage is full and needs to be clean. 2 When it starts, it shows 'docking' and I can't alter that, it goes around in a circle seeking the home base then stops after a minute or so. 4/It has always been cleaned and cared for. Any advice would be appreciative. I have purchased a new battery under recommendation but has made no change. regards wayne[australia]

Irobot780 series hasn't been used for couple of years. Replaced old battery with irobot battery and vacuum lights up and looks normal. When placed on home base it displays error message charging code 1. Have done reset and this does not fix the problem. Help please. Thanks Justine.

If you are using an iRobot approved battery, it is likely the issue may be caused due to improper contact between the battery and robot. Please try gently wiping the battery contacts on both the battery and robot with a clean, lightly dampened melamine foam such as a magic eraser, and then try again. I have purchased a battery and charger. I tried charging the roomba battery with new charger and then I tried charging the new battery with old charger and new charger. The battery symbol shows up still blinking. What is other idea of what could be wrong?

It blinks like a reddish color rapidly then err5 pops up. I have tried charging both ways, using the dock and using just the cord on the side.
