What is the warranty period for a king Lois mattress? I contacted king looks customer service and they are telling me that there warranty is only one year now. If this is true I’ll never buy there products again.

Hi James, Thank you for reaching out. Can you please advise the full details of the mattress you have and where you purchased it from. We offer a warranty against manufacturing defects for most of our products. The period of the warranty depends on the product. However, the majority of our mattresses offer a ten-year warranty.

I have a Laura Ashley king koil king size mattress that I purchased from art van about 4.5 years ago. Art van went out of business. I have a huge body indentation in the middle.

Hello, We are having similar issues to most of the reviews. Ours is a Medium. I cant find anywhere if this model mattress can be flipped as well as rotated. The mattress is still comfy but we are worried about the hill in the center. WE will try it tonight unless someone says otherwise. David NSW

King Koil   DM

Hi David Thank you for the comment. The hill in the middle of the mattress is most often the unused part of the mattress. Most of the mattress use happens in 2 thirds of the mattress9left and right side). the centre third is unused. The simple solution is to use the middle of the mattress and over time it will settle. This happens with all mattresses of any brand. the model you have is not double-sided. Thank you again for your comment. Kind regards Customer Care Team

Good Morning Scott L The King Koil Chiro Flex 3 was a model we made for Forty Winks We regularly update our ranges to keep pace with new developments in sleep technology, which means this mattress is no longer an active range. The Flex 3 is a three-zone mattress, which we still offer as part of the Forty Winks Range. Our best advice would be to visit your local store to try our new ranges. We have provided the link to our retailer locators to assist in your search. external link  Please contact us on 1300 654 000 (AUS) or 0800 242 327 (NZ) if we can help further.

We have a King Koil Chiro Flex 5 Plush MK2 Mattress.

We purchased our mattress June, 2013 & in no time it had a big indentation on my husbands side of the bed. We rotated the bed exactly as the warranty said but to no avail. It has made no difference. I slept on the indented side to try & it is terrible. Does anyone else have the same problem?

jubjubsan

If you look through the reviews, other people have had this problem. I personally do not. You said you purchased it 3 years ago - did you approach the retailer or manufacturer for them to rectify?

This is the worst mattress ever! Following the instructions and rotating, we now have 2 hollows (husband weighs 80kgs). We both now suffer from aches and pains from trying to sleep on this rubbish. Rang AH Beard and was told to return it for them to look at .... but you will need to pay $150 each way! "They have never had any complaints" and "you aren't following the instructions". This company deserves to go broke, their lack of professionalism, rude phone manner, blame the client attitude, not to mention shoddy product, an absolute disgrace. Buyer Beware!!!

Hi,

Had this mattress for 1.5 and honestly it became indentedand saggy at least 8 or more months ago. We just lived with it up until this point. We paid a lot of money for this mattress and the aching bodies in the morning are just not worth it. What can be done to tell tidy our problem? We are certainly a long way off the warranty time.

Thanks kindly

Melinda

I think the matress I was complaining about was Rest Easy and even tho' the warranty 10yr had 1 1/2 years to go they told the girl in the shop that most mattresses have had it after 7 years and as I still had the receipt if I paid $800 freight they would "restuff" matress

I bought King Koil Chiro Flex and on reading the warranty tore it up as it wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

If you still have your receipt you could go back to the shop and see what they say, I emailed them a photo of mattress.

I don't like the matress being memory foam, as I change position a lot so as it is a double bed and I sleep alone I change sides each night also sleep in the middle

They won't do anything as its memory foam. They told me that the sag in it has to be more than a specific measurement and due to it being a normal sag we had they can't do anything. Basically you have to be sleeping on the floor otherwise they have 1 million reasons not to fix it.

Has anyone been able to overcome the unbearable heat retention in these mattresses?

If you go to a specialist mattress manufacturer, they'll tell you the pros and cons of pocket springs versus conventional innersprings (whereas a bed retailer like Forty Winks etc will just push you towards whichever product they make the biggest margin on). Two specialist manufacturers in Adelaide both told me the following about pocket spring mattresses:

- Pocket springs, because of their nature, do not breathe as well as innerspring mattresses. They have an inherent disadvantage due to the pocket nature (less air movement is possible).

- Therefore, you need to be careful about both (a) the base and (b) the top layer. Memory foam - which big brands will tell you is wonderful - doesn't breath well. So this makes the heat retention worse. Secondly, having a solid base (which is the cheapest base type that most manufacturers sell you) means there is even less ability for air to circulate. So if you have a pocket-spring bed with a memory-foam top, on a solid base, you are virtually guaranteed to get heat retention problems.

The solution one mattress manufacturer recommends is to purchase a layer of good-quality foam and use this between the mattress and the solid base (if you have one).

Thanks for your question and answer! I'm also having major problems with heat retention in the mattress. Much appreciated.

Any feed back on this mattress? I believe it is pocket springs are the others reviewed in this section the same spring?

I don't recommend it. We went from a Sealy Posturepedic to a Chiro Flex 5 and I hate it. It is uncomfortable, unsupportive and after only 9 months of use it feels worse than our 10-year old Posturpedic. Look elsewhere. And strongly suggest don't deal with Forty Winks.

I have the Chiroflex 3 Plush and we LOVE it! Mattresses are such a personal thing and it might not be for everyone, but we've had our mattress now for over two eyars and it is simply heaven...so wonderfully comfortable.
