I used my egg cooker for first time today bought new from store my I did 2 eggs and went to turn off when I heard it beep when I took the eggs out I noticed there isn't any water left is that normal?

That's how the egg cooker works. When the water has evaporated, the unit beeps, and your eggs are ready. Turn off the unit and remove eggs.
I wasn't sure if it was meant to fully evaporate which was my concern never used a egg cooker before so glad to hear this is normal.
How long do you cook for soft boiled
Just fill the water measure to 1 -2 soft and turn it on. Works perfectly !
I put holes in the eggs, does that hole go up or down?

I have always pierced the hole in the pointiest part of the egg and have that at the top. Pretty sure that’s correct.
This switch toggles to the right, toggles to the left which both way light up the light situated on the left side. The switch has a third position which is when it is centered and then the light is extinguished although the hotplate appears to be heated in all 3 positions. My question is "what I the significance of each of these 3 positions?
to the left....OFF in the middle.....KEEP WARM to the right.....ON

Hi Jessica, I dont have the measuring cup now either and we just guess. It is trial and error. We use around 40ml of water for 2 soft eggs. Try that and see how you go. Kel
I have just bought one of these second hand with no instructions and I don't think the alarm is working.. Could someone please help with times or when to take them out? When all the water has evaperated?
You need the measuring cup that comes with the machine......the instructions do not specify the times.
Hi there...my alarm stopped working after the first time I used it. So yes you'll need to keep an eye on the water level. But look your house isn't going to burn down if you miss is by a few minutes. So when the water has disappeared then start thinking about turning it off and taking the eggs out. BTW don't forget to pierce the eggs on the underside.

Yes there is a small cup that comes with it that tells you how much water to put depending on number of eggs and how soft
