Macpac Wanaka Questions & Answers
VerifiedI just bought Wanaka tent but am a bit nervous about if it is good in bad weather as I will be using it in Kashmir Himalayas.
Hi. I did not use the tent in the Himalayas so cannot be of help as I don't know if it suits. I have been to Kashmir though and trekking in the Himalayas in Nepal. It is a heavy tent to carry so I would probably go for a smaller tent specifically suited to camping in the Himalayas.
It’s more designed for car camping. Look in to their Geodesic or tunnel hiking selection.
We went camping this weekend, but seem to have lost our instructions for the Wanaka test. Is there anywhere I can download a new set of instructions?
Hi Katie, hope this is helpful. These were the instructions given to me by a Macpac employee. I also took photos of an erected tent at the store. That would be really helpful if you could do that. 1. Lay out inner
2. Erect golden poles through yellow tabs
These poles must slide between gold poles and tents (see your photo)
3. Clip inner to poles
4. Slide fly over and clip into inner
5. Erect silver poles and insert through grey tabs on fly
6. Clip silver pole to fly and insert poles into orange eye
7. Peg out tent
8. Enjoy!
