Are the plastics BPA free, what number is the plastic used in the magic bullet?

I bought my Magic bullet in March 2014 (I have the receipt). When I mix liquid it leaks into the base mechanism and out the little grill at the bottom. This happens no matter how tightly I attach the blades to the cup. How do I clean the inside of the base and is it safe to use when it is doing this? If it is not safe, or cannot be cleaned, can I get a refund. I don't have the original box.

Hi Beth I am not the best person to answer your query but can I suggest you contact the seller given you still have the receipt or the company directly.

I would highly recommend to cut your losses and just buy another blender as liquid is a conductor of electricity and tends to easily short circuit electronic devices so further use is a risk to your personal safety

I've had my magic bullet for about 20 years, and the four blade bottom has seized, can I get the part, the rest of the bullet is fine the juicer I've hardly used and I would like to start using it the 2 blade isn't any good for the juicer I found that out the hard way. I'm scared to buy the new one just incase it doesn't fit the other attachments, what do you suggest?

smoothie

suggest you bring along your old parts to check if they fit. Alternatively most stores will refund with a receipt and everything in tact. just say was a present and you already have one if the parts do not fit when you get home with it.

I purchase a nutrabullet in September 14 and it is no longer working, who can I contact to get the machine fix? My contact no is 0414315192

Hi there is a 02 number on the box. I don't have it anymore as I threw the whip thing away. Just junk.

Rebecca
Rebecca

You can ring the 'Warranty' number on the booklet that came with the machine, but I wasted about half an hour or more trying to talk to them. They accept no responsibility at all. The part that wears is not, they say, covered under their 'warranty'. But, they said, yoiu can purchase a new part - the unit with the blades - for $30! (What, every three months??!!)

I took mine back to Myers, and they replaced the whole machine, gladly. BUT NOT with a Magic Bullet! I got, for the same price, a Kenwood 'Smoothie 2 Go'. It is brilliant, and there's no way the same part will wear - it's constructed with permanent hardwearing 'cogs' and there's a 2-speed switch on the front, so you can't operate the blades until you switch it on. Kenwood is a good name product, so I'm verry happy. It takes up no more room then the MB. The MB is all hype...

Retailers have a duty of care to their customers, so wherever yoiu bought it from, they should replace or refund...

I loved using mine, but it has stopped chopping, the bkade wont spin as soon as there is any weight on it. Do you know if you can get a new plastic part that fits tge base of the cutter - this looks to be shredded.

Unhappy66
Unhappy66

Hi Sandi, I am advised by the company you can buy the base you can either eBay it or call the company . But personally, I would not buy it. The same issue will reoccur. Maybe time to try another unit without the headaches.

Rebecca
Rebecca

The manufacturers accept no responsibility for this design fault. There is no way one can replace the rubber/compound drive cog mechanism. Thispart is not covered by the warranty either. I am to take mine back to the department store where I bought it and get them to pursue. They ought to know it is a useless product before they sell any more...

These machines are a complete waste of money.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will go back to my reliable Breville Blender.

I love the idea of making smoothies every day BUT when I have stopped the motor and try to twist the tumbler to remove it, the tall tumbler does NOT move! . I am worried that the three plastic nodules that hold the tumbler in place and turn on the motor will break off. Does this happen to other people? What is the solution?

John

Yep the plastic nodule broke on my one two . Throw the magic bullet away maybe they are called the Magic Bullett as they disappear by being thrown away ! and buy the more expensive and better Nutri Bullett

I found when using frozen foods or hard nuts the motor base ( clear plastic) kept soinning and chewed out the rubber connecter that totates the blade:( i had no issues with plastic part on the motor but after going through 4 blades, im not getting a new one.

Annette

Hi Rebekah , I have spoken to retailer and due to being 2 months out of warranty they can't help .. This was a Christmas present I am very disappointed ... I have read other reviews it appears this is a common problem...

Hi Annette,

I took the magic bullet back to Harris Scarfe the next day. No issues with getting my money back.

We used the machine and threw away the original packaging. No questions.

i purchased a new extractor blade off ebay, hope it lasts longer than 2 months or i will be very unimpressed

John

Warranty Laws in Australia will see that device covered regardless of the fact that it is two months out of manufacturers warranty.

You should call consumer affairs, ( or whatever they are called now ) and explain your situation to them.

I would not know as I never had one that worked long enough to find out.

Barbs

The juicer attachment is a useless mess. As for using the blending blade, harder vege are left very fine but not like juice.

Loved my Magic Bullet but unfortunately, the base of blade that fits into motor is made of rubber and perishes through use.

WHAT IS THE MOTOR WATTAGE?

What type of power plug has this got?

CB
CB

Hi Diane, The motor wattage is 200W and the power is 240V It's got the 2 pin plug. I use it to chop mint leaves and parsley for salads, plus other herbs. My daughters use it for milk and thickshakes with ice cream, frozen berries and yoghurt. I can honestly say (touch wood) I've never had any trouble with my bullet.

I have a magic bullet, which does a wonderful job in making smoothies etc however ... the last two days, when it was in lock-on, liquid was coming out the bottom and all over my bench!!! Is this normal? Should I still use it?

Pugawawa
Pugawawa

Hello DcawnJ09, so many people say they have issues with leakage but I have found that it has only occurred twice for me. Once I had not tightened lid well & the other time I had over filled it. If I follow the directions & put dry ingredients in first & then ensure I do not top up water past the max line, I never have an issue. I am not an export, only a fellow consumer. If you have concerns, I would contact the manufacturer.

DcawnJ09
DcawnJ09

Thanks heaps for that Pugawawa. I've made sure I tighten the base properly and added water/liquid last and all seems great now! I was about to throw it out but all is good, thanks again.

We recently purchased a Magic Bullet on eBay, did not use it for weeks after receiving it, the very first attempt to use it smoke came from the motor and the motor stop running. we have contacted the seller but cannot get a response from him, who sell the motor by it self? the item are still under warranty so who do we turn to for help?

Caro

Contact Magic Bullet direct George, you will find their number in the white pages or contact them online. My friend's bullet did exactly what happened to yours and they replaced it with a new one. Good luck!

How many others are like ourselves having bought & used the magic bullet to find that after short a while the drive blades wear to the point that the machine is unseable? This from a second replacement. To my suprise the warehouse is now selling these for Xmas.

Mhmmm Kitten
Mhmmm Kitten

Yes, I know, wow. Mine is still in good working order and that's after I accidentally spilt carrot juice into the motor!! Blades are still working fine, haven't worn out even a bit and I do use my Bullet almost daily for smoothies/baby food. With that said though, I don't use the Bullet for anything too hard like ice and I always chop ingredients into small pieces. I have finally smelt that burning aroma people were talking about, but it wasn't until I used it for over a minute (not pulsing) which is not how its made to be used, so I can't really blame the Bullet. I believe with proper (short) uses, it has the ability to last, although it really is a vrather fragile machine. I don't use the Bullet for chopping, because I find that it mushes and turns ingredients into juice down the bottom, near the blades, but leaves the rest of the ingredients unchopped. It's simply a small blender, made for small and easy tasks such as smoothies and milk shakes.
