I had confusion with this one too. Versa stands for versatility. You can change the setting to be used as an extra freezer. I tried ice cream in it, but prefer the ice cream in the freezer. I have frozen berries in versa and any kind of meat I'm going to use in a week or two. Much less time defrosting but it keeps it fresh. Pretty much anything that needs a bit more than the supercool in the fridge..

Hi Mariese, I have the same fridge delivered 2 days ago. The driver plugged the fridge in for me immediately, but I remember that normally we need to wait for hours before plugging it in after transportation. I asked the driver whether I need to wait before connected to power, he said no the fridge is ready to use. Now I'm a bit worried cause it's a bit noisy when the compressor is running, the Decibels reading is around 35-40. how about yours?

Hi Rwansunc, We had our fridge delivered last Saturday, the driver plugged it in and said to wait 1hour before use, we waited and we have had no trouble so far and our fridge is very quiet you wouldn’t think it’s switched on. One of the selling points of this fridge is that it's almost noiseless. I'd have to say it is because I can never hear anything of mine. Obviously you have a fault and the service people are very competent. I had to have the front of my versa draw replaced as the glass got shattered in transit

Hi Mariese, Congratulations on your purchase. The MR-WX743C is a wonderful refrigerator. The Versa Drawer has an operating temperature range of about -9°C to -5°C in Soft Freezing Mode and from about -18°C to -12°C when set to Freeze. The dedicated Freezer Drawer operates at -22°C to -16°C.
