I have a Mitsubishi MUZGE80 VAD. It is just over a year old and I have used it very little. I am on stand alone solar power so when I use the air con I have to run the whole house on generator - it is a good quality Italian one - 7 kva - 240 volts 50 hz. When I first turn it on it takes about 10 minutes to sense things before it starts cooling. It cools for several minutes and then just switches off - the internal and external fans keep running but it just stops cooling, then switches on again to start cooling for several minutes and then switches off again. What is wrong? By the way I run my whole house on this generator - computers, invertor fridges, etc. with no problems whatsoever and I've checked the filters - they're perfectly clean - I've only run the air con about 6 times since new. Please help.

It could be your temperature setting is at room temp? If the temp setting is reached, as sensed by the thermostat, the cooler will turn off and the fan just blow.
I have the temperature setting as low as it will go and it still does it
