Mortein Naturgard Automatic Indoor Insect Control System Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhen I add a refill and new batteries, and set the lower indoor switch, I get one green flash followed by many red flashes ... the spray is working but it's very confusing?
My mortein automatic indoor is not spraying anymore and batteries and refill are full, the problem is that red thing that is pushing the can to spray
I'm having this same issue. Thought it must just be the one unit so put new batteries and refill in another...same problem.
Another Mortein failure here, the red pressure arm does not return, and the spring in the can nozzle is nowhere near sufficiently strong to push it back. Batteries are good.
They are rubbish. I have one in my alcove outside the front door to keep the mozzies at bay. It works intermittently and then just stops even with a new can and batteries. What i have found is that if i turn it to off and then back on again it will resume spraying for a while before it stops again. So i turn it off and on again every night at dusk and in the morning the mozzies are significantly reduced. So i'm getting something out of it at least but certainly would never buy again!
What is the interval timing meant to be on high and low indoor setting?
Pretty sure it’s about 20 minutes and 40 minutes but cannot check because I would never use the useless things again, still cleaning up the the “ glue “ off all the nearby glass items and windows.
The Spray makes a mess of the floor! Can the spray be altered?
No, you can’t alter the direction of the spray
Not good for my floors!
Hi there I was wondering is it ok, to have in my bedroom while I'm asleep, while it's on.
No don’t use it in bedrooms. Only for large areas like the living room
Purchased multi insect spray recently. When switched on indoor hi or low sprays once after about 20 secs, then refused to spray again. If switched to outdoor it operates ok about every 20 to 40 seconds. What is the spray interval for outdoor setting if it is working correctly?
Put can in the fireplace
Every unit does this, bloody defective, not okay
My family has been using this product for a really long time. But all along, I’ve only been purchasing the refill while using the first included automatic spray system. But now it’s spoiled. What should i do? I can’t find a replacement anywhere ffs..
The device started spraying every 15 seconds although I have set it for 15 minutes. Please tell me what to do.
Mine did the same, then a few days later it came right, why, I don’t really know, except I put really good new batteries in, try that, good luck
I had the same issue. I stopped using it for months, thinking it was no good, then switched it back on recently and it worked......for about a week.
Yes I think it’s about the batteries. Thank you very much.
Is this product dangerous for g6pd people?
Is this spray safe to use in a home with a dog?
Yes, my dog is an inside dog and never had problems
The red arm that opens the top of the cannister valve, is not matched up with the small gear that works the red arm - it is out of mesh. What can I do please? I would like to send it back and get a replacement. Tony Baker, Rotorua, New Zealand Email: tbaker@nowmail.co.nz
You have my question. Please send a reply. Tony Baker 26/429 Te Ngae Rd Rotorua New Zealand
I have same problem
Pity you didn't add the reply by Mortein to my question!! Tony B
what are the fitting instructions
how do you mount the unit to the wall
How do you reset it so it doesnt spray every 10 seconds, have to keep turning it off as it will empty a can in less than a day otherwise. I have tried the reset button , no joy, inside outside Hi Lo no change :-(
I tried everything, adjusting the dial, moving/replacing batteries; I have gone through FOUR! I happened to come across the older style at a store, works great
why are the units so unreliable inside or outside?
Was working well for about 6 months, now it's spraying every few seconds on the lowest indoor setting. Other than smash it with a hammer, what do I do?
I have the same problem as many. Worked fine for first can. Half way through second stopped working. Tried changing to third can and also changed batteries in case and still not working. I understand things have a lifespan but 6 weeks?? This is also the second one I have bought as my first (different brand) did the same thing so guessing all brands are useless. It really works though when it’s working properly. I see many people on here have discussed the same thing but has anyone received a response or is the company doing anything about it? Thanks
I have same issue
Certainly very ordinary, I don’t know how many I have bought hoping the next one will work and doesn’t.
Hi, does it turn off it self after a while?
How to fit batteries
I too have a faulty dispenser. It worked well for a while then didn’t. Like others it gives off a single spray when you do something with it (new batteries, new canister etc) but then nothing. It seems it’s a common problem that the manufacturer should stand behind, rectify and supply new ones. I thought it might have just been me but this site is full of people with the same problem. Have you fixed this design problem?
Same here. Replaced batteries, inserted new cans. One spray. And CAPPUT. !!!
That being said, I contacted Customer Support who advised the lever/switch will last for approximately 18 months only.
