will be using mothers cmx for the first time in the next couple of days. befor applying the ceramic spray coating the car will be washed at the local car wash. Is there anything that I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BEFORE APPLYING THE COATING. Many thanks.

Make sure the car wash doesn't use a wax shampoo! I wouldn't like to answer for the ceramic if it's applied over wax. Will CMX equal a proper professionally applied ceramic coat? No: it's more like a DIY hydrophilic surface. But it's dead easy to apply, sheds water for months and probably gives some protection against sun and birdshite. I give mine another coat every 9 months or sot for the exercise. I also just give the car a good clean first - not a claybar or anything fancy.
Use a clay bar , fallout is always on the surface , after wash if the surface is scratchy us it , no point in locking crap onto the surface . Its a great product , plenty of youtube clips for tips .
