we have My Genie Xsonic Wifi H20 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner on the box there is a picture of a house map I have downloaded the App still no joy finding the house mapping. Can anyone help?

can this vacuum do anything but go round in a circle about one metre diameter for about 2 minutes, and go along the edges of the room. It is new to me and vacuums well but as far as I can see, these are the only 2 functions.

The circle thing is a spot clean. There is a turbo button if you want a deeper suction. It also has a setting where it just goes all over the room randomly. This is the default setting on my vacuum. You don't need the remote to work it, just push the blue button on the machine. Once for stand by and a second time to set it going. Mine seems to make a decent job, also getting the edges. I also like the edge function.

We bought a x sonic my genie wifi pro robovac from harris scarfes on Monday 16th January we have connected it to the smart life app as the instruction manual advised us to do but have had many problems trying to link the smart life app to our google home. We are attempting to set it up like this so we can tell the robovac where to clean in our house as the smart life app doesnt have a house map set up in it so we can say clean the kitchen We have set up a timer program in it but it does not specify where to clean so i am guessing it will do all of the house, How do i can set up areas for the cleaner to clean in either the smart life app or the google home app. The problem in attempting to link to google home is it attempts to link up but comes back stating that a device in not connected in the smart life appt and of course it is. We cleaned the house with it the other day and it was fahtasic but just wanting to be able to assign rooms as it was an expensive model and i would think it would be able to do this function, My parents have a different brandunit and advise me they can set up rooms etc with it If any one could help with this issue it would be greatly appreicated

apparently some phones dont connect up to google home which ours doesnt so the vacumn still works but i cant operate it from google home hope this helps
