NAB treats all customers like fraudsters and scammers and blocks people's access to own money then they want you to contact them through unsecure social media channels. Even after local branch managers verify your IDs they are powerless to help because the anti-fraud team makes their own laws. Are there any lawyers looking at class action against NAB for blocking customers access to own money with no lawful and reasonable excuse and in breach of their own Internet Banking terms and conditions Section 9, 14 & 44 ?
Hi AIK I sympathise with you, as I also have had my account blocked now for over 4 weeks and after bing promised 7 times that I would hear from someone with 24-48 hours - I am still waiting. I would love to join in a class action against NAB to stop this manipulation and stronghold tactics usesd by NAB. I have lodged a complaint to both the NAB Complaints area and AFCA and are still awaiting an outcome. Feel like we are now in a communist country where an ordinary person cannot control their own money!!
Besides the online complaints page I put a complaint form at NAB branch and asked the NAB branch manager to put one as well. lol Manager had me verified with 3 IDs and signature and told the guy on the line everything was fine but he still insisted he was going to pass it on to his team and would take a couple of days. Manager was shaking her head but nothing she can do about it. Six days later account is still blocked . I couldn't believe it when they told me to contact them through social media channels to try and solve the issue, no wonder they are under attack from scammers. As soon as they unblock the account I'm closing the account. Since NAB likes social media so much I've started posting on X and Linked where NAB has own pages to informing customers and business partners of what to expect from NAB. If everyone with blocked accounts start complaining on social media and even more customers are leaving them maybe they will do something about it or ASIC may take notice and go after them . NAB not on Facebook but Chalmers and Albanese pages will do. lol
I am applying for credit card with nab but it has been difficult to reach the bank representation’s number and even email is not responded (even though he told me himself to give call back after verification in the branch). The call centre number attach is disabled and the branch is not much helpful. Im wondering if this is a red flag? So much bad review as well for this bank
NAB is big bank nothing wrong with it, maybe just some customers service not super If want a credit card get one from Coles

Why has your customer service become so disgustingly abysmal? Why are hold times absolutely insane? I have been a customer for over 20 years, why should I stay with a bank that treats me with such utter contempt?
Why on earth do you have to sit on the phone for so long before security answers the phone. I haven't got through yet.
I've been wondering the same thing. When I finally got through, I asked "HAS THE BANK BLACK BAND ME SO I GET NO SERVICE". The "NAB banker" wasn't sure and didn't know how to check. Of course my reason for calling wasn't resolved!
Any suggestions our there for alternative ways to contact NAB rather than spending 1-3 hours on hold?
No, none whats so ever, these K@rens they now seem to now employ think that your just another annoying customer and the bank would be so much better without you.
Please tell your CEO to spend some time to read through the review and spend more time to training your staff. If he don't know how to do it, I am happy to help him.

I have set up a NAB account, I just had money from the govt put into my account to help my business. I Am currently in hospital as I am so sick with covid, I tried to transfer this money to a business partner, so they can pay my urgent bills but instead I was blocked out of my account. NAB want me to go in with 100points of id. When I told them about covid. They didn't care and said that I would have to go in with covid if I wanted my account unlocked, which means going against isolation rules and spread the virus. This is disgusting behaviour, I'm about to lose my business, I have covid and extremely ill and they don't care if I spread this virus around ..I don't care if my account stays permanently closed as I will never use them again but I want them to give me my money in. The supposed smart ATMS are not really that smart I tried it & lost the deposit & took 10 days to get it back Do a internet transfer

My son went into nab branch deposited money into his account receipt says amount deposited $2240..he went online later only to notice deposit amount is less $1740.rang bang but got disconnected ..is the receipt Proff of deposit amount
If I was you I would report this to the police. Then I would ring nab again to complain about this. Persist wth complaining to Nab bank about this. Stay polite and level headed with them. Keep a diary record of all your interaction with them.
