My XV-21 has a message that says empty dust bin and clean filter if necessary. Did both, still has the message. Any ideas?

It's just a reminder that continually comes up, it doesn't mean that your dust bin is full or filter dirty. Nothing to worry about it. You can turn it off in the settings.

Is your battery bad ? On YouTube ppl also have problems with this and it wont go away, they have put a new battery in and that has solved the problem aswell

Thanks for your responses. I'll have to look to remember how to change the settings. In the meantime, I took as much of it apart as I felt comfortable doing and cleaned it up really well. So far, it's working like a charm once again!

hi, my neato XV-21 usually sits in its docking station for a week between cleans. it worked well for a while but now there's a problem. even though its indicator light is green and it shows a full battery it works for about 10 minute before its light turns red and it shows low battery. than i usually put him back at its docking station and it recharges itself correctly an works well, but in the next week its the same story all over again. does anyone know what i can do?

I recommend you reset the battery in the menu. Press Menu, scroll down to Support, then Scroll down to New Battery. See how it charges after that command is executed.

Hopefully that helps, but if not it might be time for a couple new batteries.

I have had ours only a couple of months and can't fault it yet compared to the IRobot 780 we had previously. The Neato XV-21 is really good pick up everything it's a proper mobile vacuum.

If it was Battery Error 0002 you could try unscrewing the battery compartments, disconnecting the batteries then reconnecting them. If that doesn't work then its probably flat batteries which means you need to buy new ones. Neato don't sell them, I had to buy from Amazon.

This product has a battery fault in my opinion. I believe this because of all the feedback I've seen regarding batteries and also my personal experience. I would contact your retailer as they are bound by accc to repair, replace or refund this sort of fault depending on how old your product is and how much you paid.

I paid $679 and the product only last 2 years. I obtained a full refund form David jones.

My Neato XV-21 worked very well for 10 months, but now it's having major issues. It says it has finished cleaning, but missed large sections of the room and has false starts (e.g. it will leave its docking station and then stop). I have reset it, but hasn't made much of a difference. I got it from the USA and is now out of warranty. Is anyone else having similar issues, and any suggestions about who I can send it to within Australia to have it fixed?
