About the width of a carrot or cucumber. Apples etc need to be chopped before pushing through. I slice up most veggies too as they go through easier that way. I found the ease of assembly and cleaning this omega makes it take less time to use (even with chopping the fruit and veggies) than juicers with widre chutes that take much longer to clean.
The food chute is 4cm wide, small carrots and most other veggies fit easily. Larger items such as beetroot, apples etc need slicing. The NC902 has a 5cm chute.
