I accidentally chose “auto replenishment” on my last order without using my PC account. Is there still a way to cancel “auto replenishment”?

I have started using paulas choice acne kit but after every use my skin stings, is that normal?

Kat

I did find that happened when I started using the product. After a while the sting does go away, however I did find some products did make some parts of my skin really dry like above my lip and eyelid. I have since used a different Paula's choice product the 'Rehydrating moisture mask' which feels amazing and leaves my face feeling soft.

You would need to go to her website for the answer. She does have some books out though, yes.

What can I do for turkey neck saggy?

I have found products with retinol and vitamin c to help with the skin under my eyes, so I'd try that for your neck skin as well.

I am 57 years old and have recently purchased the Resist Essential Kit for wrinkles and sun damage. I have combination to oily skin and of late red patches on face but I don't feel there is enough moisture in the moisturiser. Skin feels tight. I have only used the product for two days. I was just wondering if I was using the right products in your range?

Hi tbmp1957,

I would contact Paula's choice support for advice. Sometimes we feel we need more moisturiser than is the case. Good luck!

Hi Tess- Happycustomer305 put it best- talk to Paula's Choice cutomer care folks ASAP. The customer care folks should help given your skin reaction. It could be from anything in the kit. I'm a customer myself, I don't work there and never have or will but sorry to hear about your skin.

Personally I've never bought any kit in any cosmetic line because my cranky skin predictably misbehaved and it was expensive. Working out what product of the kit was the culprit was also beyond my patience. I have a neutrogena cleanser, gentle and suits all skin types, and cherry picked other parts (toner exfoliant suncream) from Paula's various ranges.

Paula's site on Beautypedia has a 'how to construct a skin care routine' so maybe give that a shot while waiting for customer care. Good luck.

I have very dry skin and would like to know what I could use?

Steph C

Hi Hannah- sorry for the delay (had surgery on 5Jun). I have very dry skin too but a lot depends on why it's dry. Climate, meds, diet and even the products you use can be why. (Paula Bs book 'Beauty Bible' was really helpful in this respect.) Your skin can tell you a lot in what it will tolerate. Paula's range is great if you call or email with 'my skin hates it' they'll suggest something else and send it. Great service unmatched anywhere.

When I took Roaccutane the only thing that worked was a cream cleanser and organic rosehip oil (Trilogy at priceline was my fave given they do biggest bottles cos of how much I'd go through). Even suncream hurt to apply without the oil.

I've got very pale skin and had growths removed in my 20s. Suncream is a non negotiable essential for me. I've tried most of them. Big plus is this range though our TGA has only awarded SPF15 I think. Regardless you can apply the required amount and know from your skin feel whether it's working or not. (My dermatologist is always telling me my skin looks great and keep up whatever I'm doing. I don't want roaccutane again!)

You could use Moisture Boost (purple range) or Skin Recovery (red range). The Resist (pale blue and dark blue) are pricier and I'd wait til you're happy with some of the basics. I pick from across the entire range because it works for me. (BHA exfoliant keeps my acne in check, AHA is usually recommended for dry skin.) In winter the red toner and red daily moisturiser with SPF is perfect (double duty). Toners are great moisturiser and repair if done right so I'd suggest one for dry cranky skin.

I also use at night the Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Retinol Serum (all skin types). Some say it's greasy but my superdry skin loves it. Lots more than the Resist Intensive Repair Cream (dry to very dry) which just seems to ball on my skin. I'm still getting the application down pat though as I just bought that.

Be aware some products will behave oddly after others so basically keep watch on how your skin reacts. Once I loved how my (cranky) skin reacted to cleanse tone exfoliant moisturiser (with inbuilt spf) I experimented with other products. It can take time but the results are so worth it!
