Philips Aluminium Collection Blender HR2094/00 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI bought this blender from Harvey Norman, but I have a problem how to clean the bottom of the jar under the blades. I wander if this product come with a rubber to put around the blades so don't allow the food get stack in the there. coz is very hard to clean well. One day I realize this was smelly, I checked it was very yacky in the bottom . Please can you tell me if suppose machine come with that rubber , mine did not come with it. or I put in the rubbish with the box, I don't know, anyone can tell me where I can address to buy that part, if there is one?
I don't really have any problems cleaning it, as all of it comes apart so each component can be cleaned seperately. There was only one rubber ring - a black flat ring that fits between the metal outer edge of the blade section and the glass base. The only thing I could suggest to make it easier to clean is after using the blender put some warm soapy water in it and let it sit for a few hours or overnight - it should loosen any food and make it eaier to clean. Linda
yes, it does come with a rubber ring, which you either didn't get or threw away as you suggest. you can get replacement parts, i have seen them on the internet. contact philips australia and talk to their customer care team and they will help you find the part and order it for you. i can't remember their telephone number but just google it. i have called them before and they were VERY helpful. i was impressed. i had a technical question about the blender before i bought it and the guy from philips researched the answer and called me back. i thought i was never going to hear from that guy again when he said he'd call me back. but he did. good luck
How does this jug respond to hot soup, blending hot sauces etc?
The Sunbeam reviewers are constantly complaining about glass jugs cracking or breaking.
I have put hot soup in mine with no problem, However the user manual states it is not recommended as it is not tempered glass. Let it cool slightly first blend then re heat to be sure.
Hi Lebogg, I haven't actually put anything hot in my blender yet. The glass is quite thick, but I would make sure the liquid isn't too hot first, just to be sure. Our blender is still working very well, and we have been crushing ice in it for our smoothies. Thanks
