The air floss ultra black edition is it meant to sound springy? When ever i spray it makes a springy sound and vibrates inside. My partners white one does not do this so i was wondering if the black one was manufactured differently

Thanks for your question here, Katina. We're sorry to hear your Sonicare is making a strange noise. This must be very inconvenient. The noise you are hearing might be caused because the reservoir vent needs to be cleaned. We recommend (1) Take a damp/moist paper tower or cotton swab, (2) Wipe along the inside edge of the reservoir door opening, especially on the top area, (3) Rinse well with cold tap water and ensure that there are no debris/dust left. Also, ensure that there are no debris from paper tower or cotton swab inside the reservoir area. Should you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our colleagues directly at 0800 658 224 from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 09:00 pm (NZ) or 1300 363 391 from Monday - Friday: 07:00 am - 07:00 pm EST (AU).

Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team.

So your saying my brand new airfloss has debris from the packing itself? I literally took it out the box recharged it for required amount and flossed my teeth and found that the springy sound thats coming from the inside which vibrates the entire airfloss which is not the same as my partners airfloss. Your telling me theres debris? In a brand new airfloss?

Why is my airfloss ultra not giving any air now it is only 8 months old?

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us with this question. We'll gladly have a look at the issue. So if we understand correctly, there is no air/spray coming from the nozzle? Do you hear some kind of strange sound when you press the button? It may be that the internal parts of the product are clogged. You can try to clear them by putting hot water in the water reservoir and to spray at least 50 times. Let us know how that works out alright?

Kind regards,

The Philips Australia team

We have tried hot water and let it stand before hitting the air/water button 50 times, there is no noise at all and if you shake it you can feel water drops from the head, it seems like it is dead and has been on charge for 2 days without trying to use it..it is a fabulous machine when it works,

My 1 st one died after 2 years but 2 people were using it. Thisoneisonly 8 months old and one user.

We have tried your hot water and let it stand for 5 minutes before hitting the button 50 times as suggested, the Flosser appears dead there is no noise or green lights even after charging for 5 days. This product is faulty and this is my second one in less than 3 years.
