I also want to know where are these tyres made? Lack of answers leads me to believe they are from Chyna, I'm not keen on Chinese made tyres

I believe they are an Italian company but a currently being manufactured in Romania? Most of the high brand tryes are done in China though very happy with my pirrellis at Joe

Thanks Joe, very interesting. Pirelli is indeed Italian, I have previously run the Pirelli Scorpion MTR which were made in Brazil on another 4WD but the MTR is not available in an 18" size.

Pajero is currently having work done so no idea where made. However, experience with these tyres so positive not too worried as to where made. Also previously on 2 Foresters the Pirelli ATR tyres were fantastic, almost triple distance of Michelin with as good a grip. Just put new set of ATR on wife's Forester. Assuming AT+ a progression from ATR, should be even better.

Where are they made?

According to the answer I received, they are made in Romania. I checked my other car that's fitted with the Pirelli Cinturato but had to look on the inside wall to see that they were also made in Romania.

I have a 2012 Nissan X Trail with 225/60R17 tyres that need replacing. If I opt for the Scorpion AT+ in 225/65R17 how much do you think that will affect 1: Acceleration? 2: Odometer readings? Not much into the ATR's as have heard bad reviews re them breaking up/puncturing etc. Thanks...Tony

I went from 225/60r17 Bridgestone Dueler SP to Pirelli 225/65r17 Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus on a 2019 Forester. Every aspect of the cars on road handling has improved noticeably and improved markedly on trails. Grip on steep rocky trails is brilliant. Fuel economy is marginally down and road noise marginally up, neither is an issue when compared to the benefits this tyre has provided. The tyre makes the Forester look like it SHOULD look. The speedo reading should more accurately reflect the actual speed because of the greater circumference of the larger tyre. Another advantage is that the AT+ is only a couple of pounds heavier than a road tyre of the same size unlike the BFG AT tyres that are up to 10 pounds heavier than their equivilant road tyres.

Hi,

Tyres needed replacing...did that 6 weeks ago. Couldn’t wait 2 months for a reply so went for the same size.
