How to get in to the electrical box
Is there someone in WA Perth who can repair a Mammoth 65 lt dual zone portable fridge freezer? It just stopped working one day, noting that it was after an electrical blackout and power was resumed. Do these fridges have a reset button.. thanks John L

Hi, I have owned a Primus Mammoth 65 litre dual zone fridge freezer for about 12 years and it only showing a temperature for 1 zone. ( until a few days ago it was showing both zones) The non displayed side seems to be still keeping cool on that zone but I can't alter the temp or check what it was set at. I imagine the LC Display has died and probably can't be replaced but would appreciate any response
I reckon you’ve had a good run. Funny only one side of the display has died. I reckon keep it on the setting it’s on, throw a thermometer in there and adjust accordingly.
Thanks, i agree it has had a good run. It actually looks like the temp is now starting to climb so i think the other side will probably cease to work shortly. Luckily I do have other dual zone units, so I will use it for drinks only until it goes! Cheers

Me and my family just got this fridge freezer second hand and it’s not cooling down at all we don’t no what to do as this so our first camping fridge freezer so if anyone has any tips that could help that would be appreciated we had it on for over 24h now and still nothing did we just get ripped off 100$ for can this be fixed me and my family are homeless living out of a tent

What does error code E3 mean ?
If the E3 code appears when using the AC adapter, you need to stop the power supply and lay the refrigerator flat. After 5 minutes, plug in the power to star. If it still displays E3, you can replace the compressor controller.
What do you mean by "lay the refrigerator flat"', on it's side ?
My fridge has shown e3 error once but it keeps stopping and screen flashes until I unplug. It happens running on mains and voltage display on screen goes above 27.2v. I’m guessing a new controller would sort this out?

Not sure if this forum is still running. But I have a series 1 65L and it was running perfectly, however I recently checked it and temps set at -7c was running 11c (fridge side) and set -5c (running 15c). Was using the fridge for camping and at at home for extra freezer. Lost all the food that was in there. Lids were locked and cover on. Serviced a year ago. Any ideas?

Have a 65 L duel zone Primus fridge/freezer that has been good for the last 6 years. Has kept close to temperatures as set. Now refrigerator (left side) drops to zero & below even if set at 5C or even 10C. Freezes everything, inc beer! Had it serviced by approved agent & the left side 'thermister' (elec temp probe) was replaced. Problem still occurs. Returned to agent & right (freezer) thermister replaced & told problem is fixed as freezer was pushing cold into the fridge side!? Original problem still occurs!! Now $270 out of pocket & feel ripped off. Has anyone had this 'freezing' problem on the 'fridge' side with the 65 L Primus & have you had it solved? Cheers Don
I never had that problem, my Primus fridge, my freezer took around 24 hours to get down to temperature so I looked up some reviews and they found it couldn't be fixed, so now I have an Engel which is not as good but will last for ever. Cheers Geoff
This happens when the control board fails and does not switch the solenoid over that controls where the refrigerant pumps to. Left side cools when no power is on the solenoid, right side requires the solenoid to be energised to get cool, so when it fails, left side will get way below set temperature, right side will be hot.
@erhamilt. Mine is doing exactly what you described. Will a new display panel fix this issue.
How do I turn off one zone on my 65ltr primus mammoth fridge?
I no longer have a Primus fridge, what In remember is you can't turn off one side only turn it down much the same as the fridge in your kitchen.
My 72 lt keeps beeping on 12v or 240 main everything is showing working normal. It's has only beeps before on 12v if the the batteries were low. Now keeps beeping It's doesn't matter if on 12v or 240v. What can I do to stop It's beeping.
