Why is the fan on my saline Plus so noisy after 6 months?
My Salin Plus has just stopped working. Got up to use the toilet at about 4am and it was working but when I woke at 7:30 it had stopped. Thought it might have needed a new cartridge, so swapped that out and gave the inside a good clean, but it’s still not working. Any help would be appreciated?
Hello Maeve The most likely cause for this issue would be the power cord. The other cause may be moisture - was there any moisture present when you removed the filter and cleaned the device? Is there corrosion on the tip of the power cord or on the metal components where the cord inserts into the device? If you answered yes to either off these questions, the device has been used in high humidity. The device should not be used in high humidity. Michelle - General Manager - Salin Plus
Michelle, thanks for answer. No water present at all. We are very aware of the warnings about using the device in areas of high moisture. It is only used in our bedroom at night time with windows closed. Where is is possible to get a new power cord as it does appear to be the problem, the green light on it going on and off.

Hello Bob Providing the fan is operating, the device is working correctly. As the air flow is very gentle, it is not unusual to not smell or taste the salt.
does it work at half speed and only at night when placed 8ft from bed?
Hello The device is best placed within 3 to 4 feet of the user, facing towards them. You can start at half speed and slowly increase each night, or just start at the highest speed. Can you leave a glass of wager beside machine?
As salt and humidity do not mix, it would be best not to leave a glass of water close to the device.
