Welcome to SelfWealth . The customer is wrong because their software works as they say. Could not cancel an order and was told to watch an instructional video. This is after making 1000’s of trades. Avoid them !

Thanks Anne. I am actually in the process of perhaps leaving Self Wealth to go with another broker. Their $9.50 flat rate commission was BRILLIANT but others are now offering trades at $3. Huge difference.

Newbie here... I placed an order this morning (for the asking price) and its been 6 hours and it is still not filled. I was told that its in a que but in the interim the price has changed. Q. How do you know if your order will be filled? 2. How long does it take, as all the other orders have come through and filled within minutes.

pk2
pk2

it depends on the liquidity on the stock you are buying. Some have very low volume, and hence a low amount of shares are available at that price. Higher volume stocks tend to get filled immediately. What was the stock?

Daniel Kirkpatrick
Daniel Kirkpatrick

It was the the Selfwealth stocks. (SWF) So will they be filled at the purchased price, I just need to wait?

Selfwealth
Selfwealth   DM

Hi Daniel, Firstly, thanks for buying Selfwealth! Regarding your questions, it depends on what type of order you submitted. You can always find information on our help centre, and here’s an article about order types:

Hopefully, it has been filled now? Otherwise, you can submit a ticket to our support team, and they can look into it for you: support@selfwealth.com.au

Why aren't the shares I purchased through Selfwealth not showing up on the Computershare registry?

JB12345
JB12345

Hi Hannah The main reason I can think of is that the company you have bought shares in does not keep its registry with Computershare. They may be with Link Market Services or other share registry company. At this stage I wouldn't think it was down to Self wealth, but I do understand you asking the question given it is impossible to ask contact SW. Hope this helps.

Selfwealth
Selfwealth   DM

Hi Hannah. Share registries take some time to update details on their end. There are many registries and each has a different process. I suggest giving it a few business days, otherwise please reach out to support@selfwealth.com.au and the team will be able to look into this further for you.

Will tonite upgrade of your platform include the glitches I have been complaining about for a while or you would just ignore them as you have been doing for the past 2 months?

Why do the tell you you initial stock purchase can be no less than $500 and when you wish to purchase smaller amounts in other stocks they block your purchase and when you finally get someone they tell you that each new stock requires a minimum of $500 this is an AXS stipulation i find this hard to believe when there are other brokers who deal in small sum purchase.

Wayne H
Wayne H

I assume this is legit because I recently saw that one company on the ASX was re-buying share holdings on behalf of (and with no say by) shareholders, where those holdings were under $500. I assume this is so the company does not have to bear the burden of the management costs associated with a small holding like that. I would imagine that once you are over that $500 threshold you could buy as small chunks as you want, but it wouldn't make sense anyway since when you buy small chunks the fee is a higher % of the overall purchase. I would guess that other brokers who allow that kind of small purchase really don't care so much about the purchaser, just more about pocketing your trading fee.

How to do first trade

I need to transfer money out of my SelfWealth trading account to buy some priority offer shares. I cannot find a way to do this and I am in a bit of a rush. Alternatively I thought that I could withdraw from their ANZ account into my linked account, but am unable to find a way to do this either. Please could someone help. The bot is useless and emails take so long for answers.

I haven't tried this myself yet. I've only transferred money into my SW cash account from my Commsec account, however I just went to Settings -> Trading Account -> Cash account and there is a blue button called "Withdraw from AUD" which looks like you can transfer from your AUD cash account to your nominated other account.

You should be able to withdraw monies from your cash account to your nominated inked account in SW. I did this last week without any issues

Just dont' try and change your linked account details as this was a painful and long winded experience.

When purchasing debt securities are the securities inscribed in my registry’s account or held in selfwealth’s account at the registry e.g Link, computershare

Mary A.

I am not exactly sure I know what 'debt securities' are but all the shares and etfs I've bought with Selfwealth have all been held by Link or Computershares, etc. as I have received certificates from them.

Hi, I'm reading through SW reviews and notice a 3 day settlement period being mentioned. Isn't the ASX lead time Trade + 2 days and not 3? Would appreciate some clarity on the difference..

Selfwealth
Selfwealth   DM

Yep, ASX is T+2 but sometimes the actual cash takes an extra business day to hit your account.

Tradebake
Tradebake

That doesn't make sense, the T+2 is for the cash to hit the account? Is there a delay between settlement the SW account receiving the cash?
