Hi Sam, If you put on machine & grab the handle & twist adding some weight & some force you should be able to get it in let me know if this helps you. Our previous model used to unscrew but the newer model doesn't unfortunately. Thanks

Well I must say I am very disappointed in this product if you can not take blades out to clean. I got this blender as a gift and have only had it 6 months. It will now be going in the bin as I can't clean it.. no more sunbeam products for me again.

Hi Fran S, From the product manual it states- Do not process hot/warm liquids in your blender. Allow to cool to room temperature before blending. Thanks

Hi, Yes the manual says - The jug, seal, locking ring, lid and feeder cap may be washed in a dishwasher. Thanks
