Hi, I purchased a VBreathe Tasman a while back which I’ve loved. Recently it has started making a loud noise even when it’s off so I can’t even keep it in my bedroom even tho it’s turned off. The battery gets drained as well while turned off so there is something going on. I assume the warranty has expired but I really want it fixed. What are my options here? Thanks Purchase October 26, 2022 Sku code: 9354343011515

Hi, anytime I open the app, it says new firmware update available but I have tried several times but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Augustine, Thank you for reaching out. Could you provide us with your order and serial number? The VBreathe Team

The serial number is S/N 002028 and S/N 001818. I bought both in Finland.

Hi Augustine, We’ve looked into your enquiry, and it appears that your purchase was made through one of our European distributors, rather than directly through us here in Australia. For your convenience, we kindly recommend getting in touch with the distributor you purchased from, as they will be best positioned to assist you with the issue you are experiencing in line with their local policies and warranty terms.

Hi I have done everything to reset the VBreathe but it goes green and then red again and stays red. Paying over $500 for this it shouldn't just stop working after 2 years. Please help as I have a box full of refills and a faulty system.

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Fiona,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please advise if it is the ring light going green then red, or the power button?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

The VBreathe Team

Fiona K.
Fiona K.

Hi VBreath Team. It is the ring light. I have replaced the filter and have it outdoors so the air quality cannot be causing it to stay red. Thank you for your advice and help.

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Fiona, If you are using the App it may be an App issue with the air quality showing poor. Please do the following: 1. We would like to suggest a spray test on your device with air freshener or hair spray and see if the ring light would change. Make sure the Air quality on the APP matches the colour of the Ring light . 2 . If the colours do not match , double tap the power button to re connect the Bluetooth connection and re-try. 3. If the Air quality is still showing Poor, then update the Firmware to the latest version. 4. If device is still showing red (poor) after recalibration then please leave it on for 20-30mins then it should settle back to green.

Please advise the order number and serial number associated with the device to verify if your device is still under warranty. Thank you.

Hi VBreathe Team. I have done all of this however it is still red. Additionally I dot use the APP, however just put it on my phone and it won't let me update firmware. I really need this fixed as I use it for my disability and Assistance Animal in Hospital and Classes such as yoga. Here is my order number. Purchased March 2023 so just within warranty. 8497

Thanks for sending through the info Fiona! What we can do for you since the device is still under warranty (expires 5/3/25) is replace your device. The only issue with replacing the device is we only have BLUE devices left for replacing. If colour is no issue, we can send one out to you as soon as possible. No need to send the old one back, please just dispose the device safely. Thank you.

I want to thank the VBreathe Team and the product. I have it in my bathroom with the bathrrom door open where I have 2 very big litter trays (3 × Maine Coon Cats). The bathroom door is in the lounge, kitchen next to the bathroom, and in a one bedroom apartment its paramount to me to have a clean and nice smelling home. Everyone who comes here always says how do I get my apartment smelling so fresh! I show them the VBreathe. A few weeks ago (2 months from being out of warranty) the red light would not go off. The Customer support was second to none. In no time I had a replacement! Whilst I was just expecting the device I actually received a whole new kit with filters and gel. I am so happy! Tjank you, Thank you Thank you!

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Lynda, Thank you for your enquiry regarding the VBreathe Tasman. We have recently made the decision to discontinue the VBreathe Tasman. We understand your disappointment and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. This would have been perfect for your travel, otherwise.

The decision to discontinue a product is never taken lightly, and it's always a result of careful consideration and analysis. While we recognise the value our customers place on our products, occasionally we must assess our offerings to ensure we continue to meet evolving market demands and maintain the highest standards of quality and innovation.

In the case of the VBreathe Tasman, factors such as advancements in technology, and supply chain considerations have influenced our decision. Rest assured, we remain committed to providing exceptional products and services that align with our customers' needs and expectations.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to deliver the best possible experience. If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.

What happens with existing products? Will the warranty be supported and replacement gel/filters continue to be available?

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Mimi, If you have an existing Tasman and it's within the warranty period (from date of purchase - 2 yrs on device and 1 year for battery), the device will be replaced with a new one. If the device is out of warranty, we are unable to replace or service device. Replacement consumables will however still be available for purchase via our website through our "shop now" page.

Is there a way to turn this off within the app? I have an iPhone and when I try and change it from Auto to Standby, this never seems to stick. I simply want it to stop purifying when not around, so thought Standby should achieve this/allow it to be turned back on in the app as well.

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Mark, Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately you cannot turn the device off via the App, you are only able to change the modes from auto, standby and manual. Stand-by doesn't turn the device off completely as the small fan is working on sensing the air quality in the environment. However, the device can be turned off via the device itself.

Please let us know if you require further assistance by calling on 1800 849 104 or email health@vbreathe.com, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.

We are interested in purchasing a unit. However, as the main purpose is to operate in our bedroom while sleeping, we are concerned about the noise level as several reviews have commented on unit being loud.

Shayne
Shayne

Personally I got used to the noise pretty quickly, similar sound level as an air conditioner on low. I also have a Dyson fan and a Breville dehumidifier in the bedroom and the noise from those is louder than the VBreathe, hope that helps :)

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Kate, Thank you for your enquiry. The noise levels as per the 3 fan levels are: Fan speed Noise (decibels) Low 43.24 dbA Medium 46.74 dbA High 47.84 dbA Some of our customers who are quite sensitive to noise in general, have had issues with the device's low fan setting. In saying that, as Shayne mentioned above, it is similar to an air conditioner on low, you can barely hear the fan on low setting.

Hope this helps you in the decision making process. Please call us on 1800 849 104 or email health@vbreathe.com if you have further questions. Thank you. The VBreathe Team

Why does the white ring light keep flashing even though we replaced the filter twice? On the app it says 'filter low humidity 53%'

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Susan, Thank you for your enquiry. Please ensure that your App's firmware is up to date, as this should resolve the issue. Once this step is complete, please ensure you go to the Apps settings - scroll towards the middle of that page and select "replace filter" and Reset your filter. Ensure this step is done each time a HEPA filter is replaced.

Please let us know if you require further assistance.

Why does the website show a screenshot of the app where you can see the co ppm, but I can’t see this in my app?

Website says the device has smart sensors for smoke, mould, carbon monoxide and PM2.5, so why can’t I access this information?

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Flavia, Thank you for your enquiry. The app image on the website showing the PPM reading is an old image. The current app is now showing - good, fair and poor for the CO(PPM) reading. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will be updating with a new image soon. The VBreathe Team

Flavia
Flavia

Appreciate the reply, however I’m still curious - if the device can gather this detail, why don’t I have access to it?

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Flavia, Thank you for your enquiry. CO ppm values are calculated in firmware, and then the CO level GOOD/ FAIR/ POOR is decided based on this ppm value. The VBreathe Team

Hi where can I view this product? I would like to check the house and smell before I purchase. Based on the reviews these seems to be two issues. I am a locum optometrist and would like a portable air purifier for the different practices I am at. It’s important for it not to be too noisy as I am talking with patients.

Shayne
Shayne

It’s not too noisy, similar to a fan on low setting. The smell is very subtle

*noise (not house) typo from initial post

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Sabrina, Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately you can only purchase these online, there are no physical stores to visit and purchase from. The gel consists of lavender and tea tree Australian essential oils. These scents are not too obvious, as it gives out a very light scent and is noticeable only if you are quite close to the device. The noise level is also quite low, just like a desk fan. Please call us on 1800 849 104, or email us at health@vbreathe.com, if you would like further information.

Hi, I just want to 100% confirm this is safe for cats as lavendar is toxic to cats. Thank you.

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Fiona, Thank you for your enquiry. The gel contains a unique blend of Australian essential oils (lavender and tea tree) and is expelled in vaporised form into the surrounding air— reducing harmful indoor microbes and toxins. The VActive Gel is all-natural and certified food, pet and child safe. However, it is recommended to liaise with your vet to find out if it is safe for your cat.

Warm regards The VBreathe Team

Thank you. My cats are my life and I would die if anything happened to them.

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Fiona, Apologies it took this long to respond back. We can confirm that the amount of Lavender and Tea tree oil that is being evaporated is minimal and substantially below exposure thresholds so there is no risk to the pet's health. We can recommend placing the Tasman away from where the pet can access it easily. There is no risk of a pet touching the VActive gel as it is enclosed within the gel chamber.

Please let us know if we can assist further.

What does poor CO mean

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Charles, CO stands for carbon monoxide. The device is detecting a large amount of carbon monoxide in the air. There may be something in your home which is triggering the CO sensor in the device.

Can you use the vbreathes without the gel? I have 4 units, but have just found out I'm allergic to lavender

VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Kim, Thank you for your enquiry. Our device was designed to use the gel and the filter combined to sterilise (gel) and purify (filter) your space. However, you can use the device without the gel but it will not do the required job it was designed to do. As you have recently found out that you have an allergic reaction to the lavender, I would recommend to stop using the device with the gel. The VBreathe Team

Hi there, I just have a few questions about my device. Firstly does the Tasman connect to Google Home devices? How do you turn this thing off? Answer above said read the instructions. There is nothing in the instructions or on the app. Plain answer please. VBreathe
VBreathe   DM

Hi Charles, Thank you for your enquiry. Our engineers have a few details they would like from you to help them resolve your issue: 1. Firstly, have you signed up to the cloud feature? 2. The user name (email address) you signed up with via the app 3. MAC address of the device ( this can be found in settings screen)

They have also given me some trouble shooting steps which you can try at home: 1. Open Apple Store (iOS) / Google Play Store (Android) and search VBreathe to make sure the app is up to date. Do update if it was not latest. 2. Open the app near the device, see if the Tasman can connect to the mobile app. It will show air quality, temperature, etc if connect successfully. 3. If all above did not work, delete the device in settings screen. 4. Then factory reset the device by holding the button for 10 seconds (whilst device is on) until light ring flash red and green. 5. Re-add the device by following instructions in the app

Please go through the above steps and if that doesn't work please let us know an we will be happy to go through the next steps.
