Def was the timber was cold and hadn’t dried internally. Left to more more hours of sunlight before reapplying and no problems

let it soak in for about 2 weeks.. If it still is patchy then coat it with a darker oil or another coat using the correct applicator
Hi, I have a 90 sqM beautiful jarrah covered deck with pull down blinds all around in SA. We had coated it with water based aquadeck previously, never again. We had now sanded back to bare timber. My question: we have been advised to use the wattyl weathergard transparent oil in jarrah as advisor said that timber goes grey over time and the colour will give it good UV protection but I’m concerned it will change the colour even though transparent and am considering the natural oil. PLease advise.
Has Wattyl Express Deck been replaced or discontinued?
I am not sure if Wattyl still have it. Bunnings doesn't stock Wattyl. You can get the Wattyl express Deck from ebay. I only use the Wattyl deck oil - oil based..it looks better and lasts longer. I used pretty much every product on the market, sikkens, cabots, feast watson etc etc... the wattyl oil based is by far the best
they have a product called Prodeck this is the one that has now replaced the express deck product
I have used wattyl oil bassed decking oil on my deck for years and I am very happy with it. Would there be any problem using it on my interior timber floors?
In my personal option exterior decking should not be used for interior. The chemical composition for external oil usually consists of petrochemicals, not recommend for interior. Talk to a sales representative at your local hardware for further advice.
Hi
I am wanting to know what Wattyle Weathergard natural decking oil is actually made from. My daughter is having an allergic reation to it at her Kindergarten. So we want to find out what is in it that she could be reacting to?
