Hi Jon, unfortunately the Baby Q does not support natural gas and can only be used with LPG.

Hi Jeff, you can purchase a lpg bayonet hose from our customer service team. You can get in touch with the customer service team on 1300 301 290 and you will need to know your serial number when contacting the team.

Please note that if your barbecue requires a flame safety device to operate with a bayonet hose the team will need to confirm that you have a device prior to selling the hose, and they will discuss this with you. Thank you.

Hi Toni, all of our barbecues come with the gas hose and regulator connected.

Hi Claire Thank you for getting in touch. You would have received the gas bottle with the new Type 27 connection, this is why you're finding it challenging to screw on. We would recommend seeing if you can purchase the gas bottle with the old connection or you will need to purchase a new hose for your Baby Q. Hi Justin Thank you for reaching out. We can assist you here. Does your hose screw on the outside of your gas bottle or in the inside of your gas bottle? Can you determine if the leak is coming from the connection to the barbecue or to the gas bottle?

Hi Marcus Thank you for your question. The Baby Q has not been approved by us to be used with a propane gas cylinder. It is only approved for an LPG 4KG-9KG bottle. We have not conducted testing with a propane gas cylinder so we cannot comment on the performance. Please call us on 1300 301 290 if you have any other questions

Hi Darren Thank you for reaching out. The gas bottles / gas connections on the hose have changed over the past year to a type 27 connection. You were most likely sold a barbecue that has the new Type 27 hose connection so you will need to purchase one of the new gas bottles that has the new Type 27 connection. Hi Paul. I am not sure, but i think you can replace most parts of the Weber Q including the lid. Best to ask Weber or ask a retail Weber outlet. My preference to find out would be BBQ and Fireplace Centre, Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast Ph: (07) 54933744. Just need to give them a call as these guys are ever so helpful when i purchased my Weber Baby Q. Certain they will be able help you out.

You can use your barbecue connected to a gas bottle whilst you are camping and caravanning, you just are not allowed to connect your barbecue to your caravans gas supply. It might be worth checking with your caravan park if you are unsure, they may have different rules and regulations. If you have any other questions please let us know

Hi there Thank you for your question. The rules and regulations have recently changed with gas bottles so the connection has changed unfortunately. Is your barbecue a new barbecue? You may just need to swap your gas bottle for the newer one. If you have any other questions please let us know

Yes it is brand new. I have managed to get a gas bottle that has the correct fitting. It is problematic however. I am in a rural area so this problem may not affect city people. The swap and go system in my area does not include these new style bottles which means when the bottle runs out I have to find someone to refill it. Also my supplier tells me they are unable to specify which fittings they want when they order gas bottles. The result is all of their bottles have the old fitting, I bought their last with the new fitting. So obviously a disconnect between the gas bottle industry, the regulations and the consumers. Do yourself a favour and get something else. I did, Weber was a cow of a thing to clean, cuts and grazed knuckles.

Hi Teresa, you can use a smaller gas bottle with our Baby Q as long as the fitting is correct on the bottle for the hose to attach. As with some smaller bottles the fitting is not adaptable to the hose.

Were you able to connect the hose to the gas bottle successfully? If you did connect the gas to the hose did you perform a soapy water test?

There could potentially be an issue with either the hose and bottle connection or potentially the hose itself.
