How do u change pads?
I just bought a house with thick timber veneer flooring which has scuff marks from black rubber sport shoe soles. Will the steam cleaner remove these marks? If so, would you recommend using a cleaning solution?
I personally don't have a lot of timber flooring in my home (only one room). I would certainly try using the steam cleaner - it should help remove these marks. Beware though, timber flooring should not be subjected to a lot of moisture - I would suggest not using it too often. I also find that using "white spirits" on these sort of marks helps (but again, in moderation.
Good luck with your floors!
Thanks Nell30. Like you, I'm also wary of excess water on timber floors so I may consider the floor polishing machine instead. There are too many scuff marks to do it manually with white spirit. I'll post my findings at a later date.
I have floating floors and stupidly bought a steam cleaner. Upon enquiring with installer of floor advised NOT to use steam cleaner. Anyone want to buy one still in box?
I've used the machine for approx. 30 minutes and now it won't start. It doesn't appear to have over-heated ...... any ideas? This is brand new machine !
Check that nothing has "clogged" the brushes - also check you power source. Other than this I would consider contacting the Company for some "expert" help.
Can this machine be used to shampoo carpets? Does the standard scrubber brush do this?
No, hard floors only

No I wouldn't recommend this machine for carpets - It is a hard floor Scrubbing and Polishing machine. You would be better off using a machine that shampoos and vacuums and one that is specially designed for carpets.

We bought hospital standard vinyl flooring for our house - has slightly rough non-slip surface. Big mistake as we live in the country with dogs, grandkids and lots of dust and dirt. Have scrubbed floor (well, part of it) by hand but no difference. Will the Werna do the job?
In all honesty - No
I am going to buy a Karcher when I am in the UK shortly, they are not available here.
Will the Werna Floor Polisher work on vinyl flooring?
Hi - I don't have vinyl floors (only tiles) but I can see no reason why it wouldn't work on vinyl - just don't use the abrasive brushes (there are two grades of cleaning brushes). Regards...Faye
we have a Blackbut wooden floor what type of polish do you advise to use with the Werna domestic floor polisher?
Hi - We have two rooms of "floating timber" floors - I buy a liquid polish and add to warm water - I use this to mop my floor and then, when dry, polish with soft pads - seems to work well. I suggest that you don't use any sort of polish that will "build up" on your beautiful timber floor.
