Hi, my Zip hydrotap G5 is showing an error 024 - hot tank overfilled. The manual lists the error but does not suggest how to fix it. How do I fix this? I have flushed the filter, turned unit off/on etc. Thanks in advance.
I am so sorry Effie that you have bought a Zip Tap. Thats what I had. I cant speak low enough about this company. Never buy anything from Zip.You will not get any assistance from them.I have run a business for many years and can tell you they are the worst company to deal with. The quicker you can get their equipment out of your house the better for you.
How to fix 024: Hot Tank Overfilled error on Hydroptap G5. This is super easy to resolve. In the G5 Hydrotap unit LCD display you will see a red exclamation mark, tap on that and then you will see the option to do a System Reset. Tap on System Reset. Wait for the reset to finish (< 20 seconds). Once reset is completed, then press the hot water button on the Zip tap to let the hot water run for a good 5 seconds. The error will then go away, and once the hot water has reheated (about 1 minute), the red light will stop flashing. Problem solved.
Hi Steve, What would you recommend if after doing the restart the hot water is still flashing and won't dispense water when pressed. Have done about 4 restarts now but same outcome. Unit is about 15 months old and filtered was replaced about 2 months ago. Thanks Julie
Hi Julie, I called Zip and they organised a serviceman to come out. He was very good. I’m in the Illawarra area. Apparently there is a faulty valve issue (2021) which they are replacing as they become aware of it. Checking my notes from Jan when it occurred, they replaced the KIT HOT SOLENOID Assy B 91554 and also performed a new software update. Our Zip was installed around June/July 2022. We started using it in Sept 2022. Issue occurred 28/12/22. Part replaced 4/1/23. No problem since. We were very satisfied with their prompt service particularly as it was during the holiday period. We had a Zip Hydrotap AOI BCS installed September 2018 and it has been working ok but now the lights on the actual tap have turned off and no water coming out. The unit underneath has not registered any problems/faults. I have turned off an on again but doesn’t help.
