A complete waste of money. It’s bulky, and the plastic breaks off easily. It overheats, shuts down randomly, and only has a shelf life of 1.5 years. Mine is completely dead.

have tried playing Genshin Impact, Sim 4, and I am totally happy with the picture quality. It already has the built-in speaker but not so great, I would rather use a good bluetooth speaker instead. It has HDMI and DVI ports, which is convenient for connection.

will use on occasion for their game. At office work the service guy recommended me this model SH272UE, I like it because of the 3 years warranty been offer and at $387 I thought it would suit my usage.

Very easy to set up, the only tricky bit was working out how to fit the screen. The manual was very small to make out the detail. I also like how the screen can be tilt, swivel 360 degree and rise up and down. The screen is very light and thin, another feature which I was after.

The colour produce is very sharp and detail from YouTube clip I tested. Happy with the purchase for the price I paid.

decided to do a System restore on W11. that was OK and done in a couple of hours. I then logged in and it was fast and good. This morning got the dreaded blue screen and had a look on my PC to find fixes. Tried heaps of ideas and kept getting to the page that says we have fixed the issue and 100% ok to restart. Hit the start button and just kept getting the same message over and over. Rang Acer and they said $200 to look at it and get a quote to fix. I do not recommend Acer as a brand to buy at any cost. Back to Harvey Norman who will send it back to Acer who will check it out and through Harvey's get me a free quote. Not impressed with acer at all. It replaced a Median 17" laptop from Aldi, which lasted me for 12 years no issues, very disappointed.

support, followed their triage to confirm the problem (3 keys not responding) and was asked to send it to them. They tested and said it had no problems, I persisted for them to try again but they continued to say it was fully functional. I was asked for a video however this was not a requirement during the initial triage and shows they do not trust my word to resolve the problem properly. It is currently in transit, so now I'll have a laptop with a known fault and am expecting de ja vu when it eventually fails again. I've previously been an advocate for Acer and most of my extended family have purchased their products based on my recommendations, but not any more.

Terrible quality – The trackpad buttons stopped working, the screen started falling off and it bluescreened quite a few times out of nowhere. I understand it's a budget laptop, but it shouldn't be physically falling apart.

Reliable laptop that lasts long with decent battery., performance, storage, and overall specs. Perfect for school – I am writing this review after almost 3 years of using my laptop (ACER SPIN314-54N). My parents bought this for me so I'm not sure of the exact… Read more

price, I estimate approximately 900$ to 700$. But for the price paid, this laptop has lasted and is still being used after almost 3 years with decent performance and reliable battery life for my requirements, oh, and I can't forget the smooth touchscreen and many useful ports. I use this laptop every day for school (6hrs) and after school (1.5 hrs), and it has definitely slowed down over time, but has remained completely usable. I am continuing to use this laptop even while writing this, and it performs perfectly while I'm working and completing assignments. One thing that has surprised me, is the fact that this laptop barely heats up except for when I used to play Fortnite. After 3 years, the battery has degraded slightly and I do need to charge it at the end of every day but this is after school and once I've finished my work so it's perfectly fine. If you wanted to know, the average battery life after 3 years from 100% and constant use with schoolwork and typing is around 4 hours. If I play a game such as Minecraft, the battery life will drop to about 2 - 3 hours. One thing I had a problem with was gaming. I mean this laptop wasn't built for it anyway so that's fine but I don't recommend this if you are a gamer. I have played War thunder with decently high graphics and around a smoothish 40 fps, but I played Fortnite for a few months and this laptop definitely didn't like that as the overall performance with Fortnite included a smooth 25 fps, pretty low graphics, and multiple crashes while playing. Minecraft Edu is another game I have experienced on this laptop and max render distance, max graphics, and other high settings have been effortlessly tackled by this laptop and provided me with smooth perhaps around 50 frames and very little lag. I have had almost no other problems except while playing Fortnite, and am continuing to use this laptop for both home and school. The one thing I'd change about this laptop would be the the fact that the keyboard backing thing is made of a plastic, but even this is helpful as it keeps the laptop from heating up because plastic won't conduct heat well so yeah. I will add to his comment every future problem I have, and recommend this laptop to you if require a low price laptop or you go to school or University and need to use it daily.

Acer Nitro V15 i9 RTX4060 Affordable Beast – I’m really impressed with Acer Nitro V15 performance, especially considering the price. For a gaming and 3D rendering laptop, it offers great value… Read more

for money. The Intel Core i9-13900H processor is incredibly fast.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU might not be the absolute best on the market, but it’s still a strong performer. What really surprised me is how cool the GPU stays, even when it’s fully loaded during longer 3D rendering hours. I haven’t noticed any overheating or throttling, which is a big plus.

The 15.6" FHD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate is another highlight. The screen quality is excellent, with smooth visuals, and I’ve enjoyed both gaming and working seamlessly. Having 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD also means I’ve got plenty of speed and storage space for games and files.

Overall, this laptop has exceeded my expectations. It strikes a great balance between performance and affordability.

And this is contantly repeated without warning. Contacted Tech support located in Asia. After 30 mins of the Tech person struggling to record my name and address, and my angry frustration, I was advised to replace with another new computer.

I was given instructions to correct however the issue keeps repeating itself. This is the first time I went with Acer and will be my last. I do not recommend Acer.

Versatile laptop – In June 2021, I bought an Acer Spin 5 Convertible Laptop. Specs: 13.5" 2K 2256 x 1504 IPS Touch, 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7, 16GB LPDDR4X, 512GB… Read more

My kids originally received Acer Spin 3's at school and I thought it was super novel and versatile with its ability to flip over 360 degrees and built-in pen for writing and drawing. I do think that it is more than what I actually need at this point in time and I haven't even started to use all of its features, but I like it a lot! My previous laptop was literally falling apart, so I needed a new one ASAP and bought this one from Amazon.com.au because none of the Australian stores had any Spin 5's in the size I wanted. It is really light weight and just the right size - not too big to cart and not too small either. Image and video quality is also really good and I was quite impressed by that.

It also has Alexa built-in, and comes with a month free trial of Norton Security Ultra, as well as a few other free trials that one can make use of.

Yes it is cheaper, but is it worth it when you consider how easily the screen damages – At the time of purchase this was an affordable spec upgrade on my trustworthy older Asus. The colours were vibrant and found it to be user friendly,… Read more

it offered many of the specs at a cheaper price, a saving of between $50 and $200 at the time and has not skipped a beat since purchase. On the negative, it is cheaper and therefor less sturdy, I felt the constant need to protect it, even so the screen scratch's/marks easily so keep the kitty away and any other object that may accidently come into contact with it (yes, it is that flimsy). A couple of years on and the time has come for a replacement I love my MSI and the old Asus is still a great emergency monitor, so I will be looking at an upgraded MSI or Asus. No... I would not look at purchasing another Acer unless they work on the flimsy screen which really needs to be placed in a glass cabinet to protect.

Stay away! – Hi, I sell and service PC's and have done for 20 years. In that time I have never seen such a bad 'stand' on any monitor. It is a cheap piece of… Read more

tubular'ish plastic that attaches to the base and screen. It has no rigidity and if you go to change the brightness, for example, the screen bobs around side to side, if your desk or table isn't 100% solid rigid the screen will move with keystrokes. Literally, the worst monitor I have purchased in 20 years plus, and I buy a fair amount as part of my business. Buy anything other than this monitor. Acer Australia says it's an entry-level monitor when you discuss it with them as if cheaper Acer monitors aren't expected to be stable or meet expectations. Based on this experience and the attitude or the corporate response I received I would suggest it may now as of 2021 be sensible to look at other brands, the standards are dropping at Acer.

are not clear. Its hard to describe, but the fonts are not rendering smoothly. Initially I thought it was windows 10 issue but then it gives similar display with windows 7 or connected to other computer. The issue was identified within 1 year of manufacture date and raised with Acer as flickering issue, but they don't owner warranty without invoice. I created the defect in the attached image. This effect creates horizontal pattern on the whole screen which can be seen only when you see closely. If you are using this monitor for watching movie or playing games you may not notice but for non gaming work it hurts eye.

have assumed that if you're using the HDMI port, then you'd be using HDMIs audio capability. If your PC is using separate audio and video (perhaps because you've added a separate high performance video card, or just because PC is a bit old), then this monitor is not for you.

Edit, I switched to a different PC, and the monitor would not even show the BIOS screen, saying instead "input not supported". Even my ten year old TV was perfectly happy to display the output from this PC. I did eventually get it to work after fiddling with BIOS settings (with a different monitor connected).

After all that, the sound is the wimpiest possible, with both the PC volume and the monitor volume needing to be turned up to maximum.

This monitor is such a pain - I will never buy another ACER monitor.
