Very disappointed and no cookies to console myself with – Sadly, I have to agree with the majority. I got this as a gift and was so excited to use it but both ends pop off with the slightest of pressure like… Read more

the thread is non existent. I have grandbabies coming over for a cookie decorating party and no cookies. Will Avanti refund? What brand should I buy?

Aluminium

Aluminium in the mince – I bought one. It was cheap. Should have known better. First time I used it the rotor deflected onto the inside of the barrel and shaved off… Read more

aluminium.

Should have taken it back, but so disgusted with it and with myself for buying it, I just threw it in the metal recyclers.

Not as expected. After doing an internet study I have learnt that all coffee brewers are not equal. They may look to be the same, however not my… Read more

experience. The avanti I thought to be a more sophisticated looking product gave me consistently bitter coffee. Even though the model was stainless steel it has rusted both inside and out on the bottom component (the water tank). Aluminium cookware has been deemed safe for food use by the Alzheimer's Association. Choose a heavy grade. Avanti = a show pony, looks good, but not so

Poorly insulated – The product is very poorly insulated. I contacted Avanti and to their credit, they did send me a new tumbler when I contacted them about the… Read more

insulation issue. I thought I may have had a dud cup. The new one performs exactly the same. Poorly insulated where it does not keep my drink very cold, and does not keep ice in my drink compared to other insulated brands (frank green, owala)

The size is good and I like being able to just have an easy handle cup!

Sturdy, does the job, and easy to clean – I use it for potato rosti and it was perfect for it. The strands held together in cooking much better than traditional grating. Despite being very… Read more

light, the whole thing doesn't shake much during use due to good suction on the base. Note that it leaves behind a slender cylinder core of the vegetable. But that is easily diced up afterwards.

My favourite feature is how easy it is to take apart and clean. There is nowhere for scraps to get stuck.

After Sales Service – The cocktail shaker was out of stock, when it didn't arrive I made enquiries. I received notification of the status within a day then the refund of… Read more

the product within a week. I had a service person respond to my emails, not just an automated reply - which was great.

Won't grind rock salt or sea salt – The Avanti Electric Salt and Pepper Mill is great for peppercorns however I've had no success with either sea salt or rock salt. Despite the… Read more

instructions on the box stating to fill with sea salt, no salt is dispensed regardless of the setting, ie, fine or course. With 6 batteries to operate the grinder it sounds as though its doing the job however not a single grain appears.

Disappointingly I'm unable to use the salt mill as was intended for grinding sea salt or Himalayan rock salt.

Avanti teapot a total disappointment – After having an Avanti stainless steel teapot for 20 years, it finally broke and I very happily purchased a new one yesterday. OMG what a… Read more

disappointment! The handle is awkward to hold and when the teapot is full I can't hold it because the handle is sharp-edged. It was $65.00 which is less than I expected to pay but it is useless so $65.00 now seems exhorbitant for what I got.

Fit only for the rubbish bin – Totally agree with the earlier review and am cursing myself for not checking here before I bought it. The blades are soooo blunt they cant cut the skin so you are left with a huge mess.

Avanti Ultra Grip Can Opener – I went through 3 different brands of can opener in a short period of time. The either did not work easily and fell apart. I now have the Ultra Grip… Read more

can opener and it is fantastic. It is well-built and opens cans easily. I have use some large heavy duty cans of goods and this can openers slices through them with little effort, the first time. I have used some big name brands and they just measure up. The bonus is that the UltraGrip Can opener it is one of the cheaper can openers. Purchased from Harris Scarfe Aug 2023 for $15.00
