useful if not a bit gimmicky, depends what you've got cooking. It is fairly quiet to use, although it seemed more so at first. The touch control panel doesn't like damp hands, but otherwise good. There are enough cooking options to work through, however I find myself varying times and temperature which is easily done. It gets used as a mini oven, baking full size loaf tin cakes and full size roasts among other things; I've used it without the tray on the odd occasion looking for extra room but with the design it didn't really make much difference and it affects how the fan forces the heat around the food. It mostly gets used for other things like bacon, chips, grilling fish, sausages, rissoles, the list goes on. There are limitations with the height of the drawer so you need to be careful nothing is likely to touch the element on top making it burn. The build quality is light compared to other Philips I'd seen in the past, but it is very good value for what it is. This product replaces a Cucina air fryer and steamer which did not seal and sent the steam all over kitchen cabinets instead of containing it. Prior to this I had a very basic Coles Thomson 11litre air fryer, I loved the size even though it was an overkill, but did the job really well for several years until the coating began to lift.

member who did and were very impressed and intrigued at the possibilities for easier family meals. We went to The Good Guys and looked at the range. The Phillips brand appliances have been great for us before, so we were pleased to see they had an air fryer in the size we were looking for as a family of 5. Set up was very easy. I gave it a quick wash first and we ran it for 10 minutes empty to ensure there was no smell. Then we could get cooking! Our favourite dishes so far are; Roast vegetables- cut up carrot and potato into bite sized pieces and cook for 21 minutes on 180 degrees sling every 7 minutes. Chicken thigh- lay flat and cook for 20 minutes on 180 degrees for a delicious, juicy piece of meat you can use chopped up in a salad or with some veges as a high protein meal. The size is good for our family of 5 (3 young children plus 2 adults). We can make a side or make large components of meals in one use. Cleaning is a breeze. The basket comes out easily and both sections of it fit in the sink for a good wash. Overall we are extremely happy with this purchase. It works well and is easy to use.

beginning to peel from the enclosing basket. Investigated replacement parts but these were expensive so decided to replace the entire air fryer. Rather than moving “sideways”, chose to upgrade my purchase to a twin drawer model, reasonably priced and with a decent warranty. Settled on a Philips NA352/00 which met the requirements. Despite having an RRP of $399, found it online in a sale for $197.
THINGS I LIKE ABOUT IT * Stylish design in matt black with gold accented colouring on the handles. Top surface is in shiny piano black * 9 litre two drawer design with one larger (6L) and one smaller (3L) configuration. As the drawers are operable independently, this means that if you are only cooking something small, you can just use the smaller drawer with its lesser power (and cleanup) requirements * Internal grille areas have down away with the problematic “wire basket” design and have moved to a more “solid flat steel” arrangement which is coated with a non-stick surface which has (thus far) proven to be easily cleaned and free of food sticking (although I still add some spray oil to facilitate this) * Ability to separately control the drawer temperatures and cooking times. For different types of foods in different baskets, you can also set these to sync which will cause them both to complete their cooking cycle at the same time. You can also set the parameters for cooking on one basket and have it transfer those same settings to the other basket * There is a “shake basket” function which can be switched on to remind you to take the drawer out and shake the contents. This happens two or three times through the cooking cycle and is very useful for cooking potato chips * Compared to other air fryers I have had, this one is reasonably quiet and on some occasions, I have had to put my hand behind the device (where it exhausts air) to see if that particular drawer is actually working * There are a number of presets which can be activated based on the type of food you are cooking. If you select one of these and the setting is not to your liking, it can be manually over-ridden. The eight presets are for fresh fries, frozen fries, chicken, meat, veggies, fish, cake and reheat * Two year warranty * Still fits in the space we previously used to store our single drawer air fryer * Cooking is even with minimal intervention and with economical power use (As economical as it can be for a kitchen appliance with two heating coils) * Cord winder for the power lead (detachable if you don’t need it) on the back * Drawer baskets are dishwasher safe * Numerous recipes available on downloaded app
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH * Gloss piano black surface on the top is an absolute finger magnet as it serves as the touch sensitive control panel for the fryer. Needs frequent cleaning off due to its highly reflective nature * When setting your cooking parameters, you can sometimes get lost in the settings or find a control requires a slightly harder push to activate than another. Particularly have issues when actioning changes in settings during a cooking cycle with two baskets and just wanting to change one * Problems ensue with unexpectedly altering settings on the other basket that you didn’t want to occur. Have found myself a number of times just switching the entire device off and back on again to reset what I want (essentially clearing it and starting over). * Having to get used to the drawers not being on rails with a stop (as in my previous air fryers) as these drawers simply “come out completely”. * The “attention beeper” is very soft. If you have other noises going on in the kitchen, you may not hear the beeper to indicate cooking is finished or it is time to shake the basket drawer.
OVERALL Am generally happy with my purchase of this appliance. The two drawer basket design and non-stick coatings make for an easy use and cleanup experience. Indications are the new cooking surfaces should be more durable than the wire grille of the previous fryer. Would like to see some work to simplify the control panel in a future model as using some settings and in particular altering settings mid cycle is not intuitive. The manual is the usual style multi language leaflet but does do a good job of explaining the features. The things I don’t like so much are relatively minor in the overall scheme of things and do not prevent me from recommending this appliance to others.

Marinated chicken, steaks, lamb cook surprisingly well also - can also be browned off. I recommend using the paper liners at the bottom of the tray/dish to save on cleanup. Otherwise they are very easy to wipe out or wash with the Non-Stick Teflon coating. Very quick to heat up - no pre-heating required!

It has been amazing so far for our family meals or cooking two things at once. Crispy food with barely any oil, easy to clean, and the baskets are super flexible. It’s a bit bulky, but honestly, totally worth it.

more dishes at once. A visit to our local appliance retailer let us discover this wonderful dual basket model and the selling point to us was the baskets provide separate cooking one above the other and so not take up a lot of bench space. Whilst each basket is slightly smaller than our original, we have 2 separate air fryers only taking up one space. It works very well, great menu display and easy to clean.

On/Off light! . I was looking for the ON button for 10 minutes!!. There are some cooking settings on top which makes you think they are real buttons.
Temperature and heat set up through by turning a dial manually. Hard to set accurate time or heat. You don’t know if it’s working or not. You need to listen to the noise to know that. Timer makes that old clicking noise when you take out the bin in between cycle. So old!!! Air fryers in Kmart and Dollar shop have more technology. Shame on Myer!! You go there to shop quality stuff not basic stuff with out even an ON light. I can’t imagine selling this next to high end brands!! If they knew that, they would pull those stock from you.
Unbelievable Phillips !! Not ever an On/Off button ?? Unreal!!

the basket and grid with soapy water several times but the smell remained.
Looking at the product webpage there is a FAQ for getting rid of the plastic smell which meant turning it to maximum temperature (200C) for the maximum time (60min) and letting it run. I did this next to the rangehood so we didn't fill the house with stinky hot plastic gases, but after letting the air fryer cool down from the first run the smell had not disappeared.
I did air fry some frozen fish fillets in it, and when on all I could smell was the fish, but my concern was where the plastic odours were coming from and could the chemicals be leeching into the food during cooking. Over the next few days I performed the procedure 3 more times, yet the product still smelt bad.
I had a good sniff of the basket after another wash and the smell seemed to be quite strong from the plastic fascia at the front of the basket, which vents into the cooking area to be heated and circulated.
I phoned up the support line and described the problem, how I had run their procedure multiple times but the smell was still present, even noticeable in a room the air fryer was just sitting in. They agreed that we should return it for a full refund and provided me with a Case Number by email to give to Big-W customer service, who took the printed email for their records, and refunded us in full.
This was the first stand-alone air fryer we've ever bought, it was very disturbing that the product emitted such an awful plastic chemical smell. Bought a different product from a brand we have another appliance from, and it works well without any dreadful smells.
Grateful to both Versuni (Philips support) and Big-W for their readiness to refund.
