8kg load machine whereas my previous machine was 7/7.5kg I have to place less washing in each load. It intermittently cannot complete the spin cycle, no error is shown and the machine just continues to attempt the spin cycle for hours if not stopped and the machine reloaded. On raising my error/problem with LG, through the dealer I purchased it from, they took a week to contact me and their service consultant was less than helpful and my contact with them was horrible. Definitely never going to buy an LG ever again after more than 20 years of loving their products.

We have had this washing machine for 2 years, started having issues with mold on the seal and brown paste appearing on clothes after wash, i… Read more

complained to LG and the response i received that it was not a warranty fault but user error, even though we regularly ran the drum cycle (more than recommended), the photos are of the seal that i replaced, the brown paste (scrud, LG called it) , is impossible to clean, as it is behind the seal, which you don't have access to, so cannot clean. Even replacing the seal wash a mission (i am quite handy), you have to nearly dismantle the whole machine, i have never had this issue with any other washing machine design, and would definitely not recommend to buy an LG machine, and the support was not helpful and basically said it was not covered under warranty even though we used it as recommended.

Everything I hoped it would be! – I purchased this front loader to replace a Miele that had died. I did a lot of research on the internet comparing brands and features and the LG… Read more

WV7-1409W stood out amongst the reviews. And I am not disappointed. I've only had it for a few weeks but have washed multiple loads on different cycles and it is everything it claims to be. I hate front loaders because of the long wash cyles but am limited to having one because of the design of our laundry. However this machine has a 59 min cycle that cleans well and it also allows me to pause and open the door (as long as it's before the spin cycle) so that I can throw in that second sock that always gets overlooked. It does a great job and is quiet. It beats Miele hands down on performance and price. I definately recommend this machine.

Ridiculously poor performance. Expect a minimum hour wash, or expect nothing gets washed at all. Add in some cumbersome controls, poor app design and a lack of custom settings. A pure waste of money. Show details

We got it fixed and found out it overheat even when the machine is not working so have to turn it off all the time. but still having the same issue again after got it fixed. Its been almost a month since the machine playing up and I’m surprised I still haven’t got a replacement when its clearly faulty machine.

warranty who sent out a technician and were told it was our fault due to chemical damage as there was rust around the water inlet. I have no idea how this is our fault as we don't have any chemicals coming from our tap water. LG have hand balled the phone calls we have made for the last 4 weeks trying to get this sorted out. We will never buy anything LG from now on as their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. I have learnt you get what you pay for and I would suggest everyone else do the same and don't waste your money on LG rubbish.

well…because I need to regularly wash bedding and a family’s worth of laundry. From the beginning clothes never came out well spun (in the electroluxe they were practically dry)… they are always water logged, that’s if the spin cycle even works. It often comes up with an error message when it comes to the spin cycle… it tells me to re-balance the load… but this rarely rectifies the problem and just shows me the message over and over and I have washing sitting in the machine for hours because I can’t babysit the machine and make sure it works every time I try. Hate this machine!

I bought the LG WXLC-1016G because it is promoted as a convenient 16kg/10kg washer-dryer that completes the laundry from start to finish in one… Read more

appliance. In my experience, it has done the opposite. After nearly every wash-and-dry cycle, our clothes come out covered in excessive lint. We then spend around 30 minutes using a lint remover, which defeats the whole purpose of buying a premium combo machine to save time. LG’s published specifications list 150 litres of water consumption for drying. Despite using that amount of water, the finished clothes are still covered in lint. LG says the machine is operating normally and would not accept the problem as a manufacturing fault. I also paid $178 for an authorised assessment. The technician verbally acknowledged the excessive lint, but this was not included in the written report. LG then closed the case without offering any practical solution. This is not simply about whether the machine has a user-accessible lint filter. Whatever internal lint-management system it uses, the end result should be clothes that are ready to wear—not clothes requiring another half-hour of manual cleaning. For me, it has not delivered the convenience, time savings or clothing care advertised. That is simply not good enough for a premium appliance. LG advised me that no one else had reported a similar issue. If you own this model and are experiencing the same excessive lint, please leave an honest review and report it directly to LG so the number of affected customers is properly recorded. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this model for regular wash-and-dry use.

I bought an LG washing machine — my first LG product — and I’m honestly stunned by how bad the experience has been. The machine takes 3 hours and 58… Read more

minutes to wash a single load. Nearly four hours. Even when the drum is empty. I contacted support, thinking something must be wrong. But after multiple calls, I was told — repeatedly — that this is normal. Operators tried to justify it with vague explanations about AI and fabric types, but no one could explain how an empty load ends up taking nearly five hours. And then there’s the on-hold music. Ten straight minutes of high-pitched distortion that literally makes your phone speaker crackle. It’s unbearable. I’m convinced it’s designed to make frustrated customers hang up. It’s not just bad — it feels intentional. But it gets worse. They asked me to send a video showing the full cycle — from start to finish — but it must be under 20MB. That’s nearly impossible using standard methods. How are you supposed to show a 4:58 cycle in a file that small? And if that’s not enough, they also require: A receipt The model number And the video must be sent by email only — no upload portal, no support ticket attachment. It honestly feels like they’ve pulled out all the stops to make the process as difficult as possible. Every step seems designed to frustrate and wear you down. This isn’t just a product issue. It’s a customer experience failure. I expected innovation. I got confusion, wasted time, and a support system that feels more like a deterrent than a help. Respect goes both ways, LG. Right now, you’re not holding up your end.

I originally bought this because the store reviews someone said they could wash their king duva. This washer just fits a queen duva in it, this was… Read more

disappointing because the size of the barrel isn't as big as I thought it would be. Which makes me question the legitimacy of some reviews.

I washed a queen quilted blanket, washed it on the duvet cycle and when I took it out the middle was dry. This was obvious as it being grey I can see and feel the dry patch, so I had to wash it twice! Very annoying.

To get the washing started it's a little tricky to get the hang of at first. It takes a few buttons to click and the washing setting always resets. I like that it comes with an app and you get notifications when your washing is completed, track how much power the washer uses, and has a diagnose program in case there are issues, and it tracks when it's due for tub cleans. Would have been 5 stars if it was bigger.

Another issue is, there is no option to select water level. I think it automatically levels it.

However, it looks nice, mostly quiet, and whole washer inside has a light that turns on before washing starts and when its completed, which makes it feel really modern. Glad I got it on sale because I would be a lot more disappointed if I paid full price.

My 5.5 washer top loader easily fit a queen blanket so having 10kg that has a small drum is frustrating.

6/12/25 EDIT: LG eventually sent a technician to replace the dial, which was great. I say eventually because the online chat and numerous phone calls… Read more

were unsuccessful for weeks. You must provide a video of the dial and a pic of the product number for the online chat. Good luck with supplying a video under 10Mb. I think there is one lady singlehandedly doing all the phone enquiries. _____________________________

Washes well, but the dial stopped working after 12 months. It takes us 15 minutes of pulling, pushing and/ or gently turning the dial to get the washing machine to start. LG chat revealed it could be a number of faults, not just the dial.

When I compare it to my previous washer of 25 years, it's disappointing that the most basic component, selecting a wash type, does not work!

On 02/06/2022, I purchased washing machines from Harvey Norman watergardens . "I am extremely disappointed with the quality of LG washing machines.… Read more

After just a couple of years of normal use, the rubber seal is completely worn out and damaged. This clearly points to the use of cheap, low-quality materials. To make matters worse, instead of taking responsibility, LG blames us. This is unacceptable for a brand that claims to offer high-quality appliances. I expected durability and reliability, but unfortunately, this product failed to meet even the basic standards. This product is digital machine and do all the job so if it's overloaded as they assuming this machine will never work and if it couldn't handle the work properly that's meant it's completely faulty. I understand that under the Australian Consumer Law, when I buy products and services, they come with automatic guarantees that they will work and do what I asked for.

I have a GST tax invoice as a proof of purchase.

I sent them requesting a repair since January till now they didn't reply. My duty of care now to warn everyone to purchase this item from LG which never care about their customers . Not recommended at all

opposite wall and left dent in wall, broke the door off the dryer and put a dent in the metal frame. Anything placed on top of it vibrates and jumps off in ten seconds. Friends in the next room have jumped and asked ‘what’s that?’ when it starts spin cycle. Took a month of emailing customer service to get a technician out under warranty for a month old machine. Technician advised that it would be $130 to do anything with it and that it was my fault for having a stump floor, and that you couldn’t have a front loading machine on a stump floor. (I’ve had front loading machines before without this issue and stump floors are very common in Australia). Also said three towels must be very carefully placed in order to not overwhelm the machine. Three months later customer service called to advise my whole warranty is void because machine is on a stump floor. If a machine cannot work on one of the most common floors around, it should have a warning on it saying so, and I would not have bought it.

Out of the blue it starts leaking, then might be fine for a month or so then leaks again. You have to leave door open and dry the machine as well as pull out dispenser otherwise you get a terrible mould smell.
