8kg load machine whereas my previous machine was 7/7.5kg I have to place less washing in each load. It intermittently cannot complete the spin cycle, no error is shown and the machine just continues to attempt the spin cycle for hours if not stopped and the machine reloaded. On raising my error/problem with LG, through the dealer I purchased it from, they took a week to contact me and their service consultant was less than helpful and my contact with them was horrible. Definitely never going to buy an LG ever again after more than 20 years of loving their products.

this was awful. It twisted clothing and worse of all, there was lint on our clothes despite cleaning the lint filters.
Just recently, it has thrown an IE (Inlet Error) Code. I have cleaned the pipes yet it fills slowly. The warranty expired a few days ago.
My experience aligns with a lot of others people's experiences.
Never again will I buy this rubbish.

complained to LG and the response i received that it was not a warranty fault but user error, even though we regularly ran the drum cycle (more than recommended), the photos are of the seal that i replaced, the brown paste (scrud, LG called it) , is impossible to clean, as it is behind the seal, which you don't have access to, so cannot clean. Even replacing the seal wash a mission (i am quite handy), you have to nearly dismantle the whole machine, i have never had this issue with any other washing machine design, and would definitely not recommend to buy an LG machine, and the support was not helpful and basically said it was not covered under warranty even though we used it as recommended.

that a big brand like LG would be so ergonomically challenged. It can not wash more than 2 towels and a sheet on the biggest load! I got a big machine because I need it. Error codes daily, when it’s out of balance it continues to go through the rinse cycle like it will do it all day if your not home, wasting so much water. Do not buy this machine. My Electrolux 7kg front loader ran rings around this hunk of junk. LG should be recalling them and reimbursing people who bought them. Unfortunately I will never buy anything LG again.

properly, leaving all laundry soaking wet. This has been happening consistently and has caused damage to my clothes.
This issue has been ongoing for over a year, and despite this, it has not been resolved. The machine has undergone three separate repair attempts by authorised technicians, including full troubleshooting and multiple parts replacements, yet the same problem continues.
I have also had to rearrange my work schedule multiple times to attend these repair visits, resulting in lost income. In addition, some of my laundry has been damaged due to the ongoing fault.
What is most concerning is that despite repeated contact with LG, there has been no effective resolution. I have received multiple phone calls asking for the same information repeatedly, but no actual outcome has been delivered.
At this point, it is clear that the product has a major failure, and the issue has not been resolved within a reasonable time.
I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

come back on intermittently, making it very difficult to control. Contacted LG and provided them with all requested details (photos of invoice, serial number panel) and video of fault. Several days later had heard nothing so contacted them again, with a further lengthy delay, so took the call back option. No call back after two days and another extended period on the phone. Finally got to speak to a person who said that they would get a technician to contact me within a further two business days. I have no idea where the people that I have been talking to are located, maybe in Australia but more likely overseas. Why does it take 14 days to get the message through to this company their product is faulty and needs attention? WARNING, DO NOT EXPECT SERVICE FROM LG AT ANY STAGE, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT.

Lid has issues, gets stuck as though their is debris. Removed lid nothing present. It clicks.
Door lock went haywire. Would open close open close automatically.
Buttons stop functioning. Namely mode 2. Can not switch from normal mode. I presume it's a moisture and circuitry issue.
Turbo clean stopped functioning. Does thing to go. So does not de-lint well at all. Lint floats around.
Worst of all LG service tech is basically useless. They'll send someone out to look at it. Issues will persist. This is the last of LG products in my home. Don't by anything LG post 2017. Sub par quality throughout their ranges.
The outer body is prone to rust
Machine currently washes when it wants and takes as long as it wants.
currently shopping around for a new one. Won't be buying LG ever again. So glad this is it for the LG Bad's in my home. Had a fridge that caked it and warranty voided. Thought I had a Samsung washer lol.
$1200. Ridiculous for this lack of quality. These companies need to be investigated.
Bedding, clothes. Nothing heavily soiled, just the usual regular washing.

multiple repair attempts. Since purchase, the unit has had several serious issues. One of the machines leaked shortly after use and required repair. The second unit developed a faulty control panel, which caused a noticeable delay when selecting settings. This was also repaired. However, further issues have continued. The machine began beeping continuously throughout cycles, and on occasion the display would turn off while the beeping continued and the cycle failed to complete properly. This has already been repaired more than once, yet the problem persists. Most recently, despite another repair visit, the machine is still beeping constantly during operation. Firstly the technician had no idea what he was there to fix. Asked me for a video of the issue even though I explained it to him multiple times. And video recordings were sent when we lodged the repair with LG. He opened the top of the machine and he tightened some things. The technician advised that if the machine overheats, it should not be used for two days to allow it to reset. I find this explanation unacceptable, as a washing machine should not require extended downtime after normal use, nor should it exhibit ongoing faults after multiple repairs. He also told me they would charge me to come out to repair normally. This machine has been faulty from the date of purchase. At this point, the product has not performed reliably at any stage, despite repeated servicing. The issues appear to be persistent and unresolved rather than isolated faults. Given the number of failures and unsuccessful repair attempts, I am requesting that the matter be escalated and that you provide a suitable resolution. This should include either a replacement unit or a full remedy under consumer warranty obligations. I would appreciate a prompt response outlining the next steps.

WV7-1409W stood out amongst the reviews. And I am not disappointed. I've only had it for a few weeks but have washed multiple loads on different cycles and it is everything it claims to be. I hate front loaders because of the long wash cyles but am limited to having one because of the design of our laundry. However this machine has a 59 min cycle that cleans well and it also allows me to pause and open the door (as long as it's before the spin cycle) so that I can throw in that second sock that always gets overlooked. It does a great job and is quiet. It beats Miele hands down on performance and price. I definately recommend this machine.

From the beginning clothes never came out well spun (in the electroluxe they were practically dry)… they are always water logged, that’s if the spin cycle even works. Bing Lee. From the first time I used it, I knew I’d hate it. It has a mind of its own. Adds water, even though the drum is full, stops and starts, make horrendous noises. The wash cycles take way too long- I live alone and don’t have large loads, but the Fast Wash doesn’t add enough water. The other day it made the little sing song noise to tell me it was finished, only to find a full tub of water. If I try to add fabric softener, it just drips the whole lot instantly into the first wash cycle, so I have to add more detergent. If it was possible, I’d get a refund and source a reconditioned Fisher and Paykel. Don’t buy this heap of rubbish! Any LG reps want to respond to this. I have an LG fridge which I’m very happy with and have always sworn by LG products. Why is this one so terrible?

minutes to wash a single load. Nearly four hours. Even when the drum is empty. I contacted support, thinking something must be wrong. But after multiple calls, I was told — repeatedly — that this is normal. Operators tried to justify it with vague explanations about AI and fabric types, but no one could explain how an empty load ends up taking nearly five hours. And then there’s the on-hold music. Ten straight minutes of high-pitched distortion that literally makes your phone speaker crackle. It’s unbearable. I’m convinced it’s designed to make frustrated customers hang up. It’s not just bad — it feels intentional. But it gets worse. They asked me to send a video showing the full cycle — from start to finish — but it must be under 20MB. That’s nearly impossible using standard methods. How are you supposed to show a 4:58 cycle in a file that small? And if that’s not enough, they also require: A receipt The model number And the video must be sent by email only — no upload portal, no support ticket attachment. It honestly feels like they’ve pulled out all the stops to make the process as difficult as possible. Every step seems designed to frustrate and wear you down. This isn’t just a product issue. It’s a customer experience failure. I expected innovation. I got confusion, wasted time, and a support system that feels more like a deterrent than a help. Respect goes both ways, LG. Right now, you’re not holding up your end.

possible to modify. For example the spin speed is slower on this machine than on our previous Fisher and Paykel washing machine. The Fisher and Paykel has a 1000 rpm spin cycle that removes an incredible amount of water in the spin cycle, whereas the LG has only a 700rpm spin cycle. We didn't notice the difference in summer, but in winter its now takes much longer to dry the clothes because they come out of the machine still damp. If I had known I would have purchased another Fisher and Paykel machine with the direct drive that allows a much greater spin speed. The LG Customer Service is also pitiful as well. You get transferred to an overseas call centre and they have no idea about their own product. The customer service rep had to be told 3 times what I was trying to achieve and started to tell me to push buttons on the washing machine that do not even exist. Absolutely Useless assistance.
