so this has been a game-changer. It’s super easy to use just fill the reservoir with water or mouthwash, aim between the teeth, and press. Takes less than a minute and leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. The colour looks sleek and modern on the counter, and the design feels solid and comfortable in hand. After a week of using it daily, my gums already feel healthier and less sensitive.

bend over time until you can't get proper force on your teeth as it become increasingly weaker. I bought a substantially cheaper supermarket model for overseas travel and it is far superior in its strength does not break and does a better job. Your paying a premium on this device for it to fail.

I already got a replacement under warranty and this has happened again. The design/model is flawed.

Night and Day difference from a manual toothbrush, or the Oral B competitor – I tried buying an Oral B electric toothbrush a while ago, and while it was okay, I ended up going back to manual. This blew my mind for $30 at my… Read more

local woolworths (1/2 price). I looked it up online after seeing it in store and noticed that it was actually a steal of a price, took a leap of faith and purchased it, and now can't see myself going back to manual brushing. Though this is an entry-level one, it's still amazing and I'll probably end up upgrading. As a young adult (still learning the ins and outs of taking care of myself) this has really piqued my interest and shown me how much more there is to household dental health, and made a vast improvement on the cleanliness of my teeth. The only things that are negative are: the noise (it's called SONICare for a reason) though it's not as loud and annoying as the Oral B one I had used, it's quite odd and high-pitched. Not being able to keep my bottom lip up because of the vibration (I find myself drooling everywhere like a toddler), and the expensive and hard to find replaceable heads. Otherwise a great upgrade and for an entry-level version it is to be expected, though it exceeds overall. Another thing I will say is that it's extremely light, and the heads themselves are very small so I find myself A; using a lot less toothpaste, and B; being able to brush very finely and reach every crevice and corner of my teeth. God that sounds creepy. But it's true, and a fantastic feeling.

Oral B oscillation electric toothbrush is scientifically proven to clean slightly better but my gum is too sensitive so it's uncomfortable to use. … Read more

The Philips electric toothbrush is the next best thing and is painless, which means I will actually use it rather than let it collect dust like my Oral B one. I find both Oral B and Philips electric toothbrushes give a very clean feel after brushing. I personally can't feel the difference between Oral B and Philips.

I love the extra minute on gum care mode and this ProtectiveClean 4500 model is the least expensive model with this mode. This is my third Philips electric toothbrush and my last one was ProtectiveClean 6100 with 3 modes and 3 intensity settings. Once I'm comfortable with gum care and on high intensity, I never changed it. So I feel the essential features for me are simply pressure sensor, QuadPacer timer and gum care mode. There is no need to go for the more expensive model. If you don't need the gum care mode, I would recommend the cheaper 3100 series or something because I just found out that 62000 brush movement/min is the same as 31000 brush strokes per minute. Notice, 2 brush movement = 1 brush stroke. Also, 62000 brush movement/min is the highest speed for Philips toothbrushes, even for their DiamondClean series. The rest of remove 7x plaque vs 10x plaque all comes down to the brush head used.

Another reason why I recommend the cheaper model is I found each electric toothbrush only lasts me 2-2.5 years before the motor became loud and broke, but at least Philips is good about replacing if you register the product to get the extra year warranty. BTW if the BrushSync's brush head replacement reminder bugs you, it can be turned off. Finally, the battery life is around 2 weeks so I don't even bother carrying the charging stand when I'm going for 1 week trips.

dollars, which took over a month to arrive! The first Sonicare DiamondClean brush we had lasted about 2-3 years before it no longer worked, and Philips neither had parts or repairs for it. The brush itself does a good job, but it is a pity that Philips uses such unreliable technology and is so greedy charging so much for just three plastic brush head replacement. My opinion is that the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean is not worth the money

My first Philips Sonicare toothbrush – It works really well and I should have started to use it earlier. I also asked my other family members to buy Sonicare ExpertClean. I am writing this review just because I think its score should be higher than what it is now. :) Show details

neither of them working effectively , I decided to go for this toothbrush after reading rave reviews and I was not expecting the toothbrush to be so efficient, my plaque was almost removed after just two uses and now I’ve been using it for a week , I’m regretting not buying this earlier , I mean it is expensive (for me) but worth the price because it would save you so much money at the dentist’s office

gum cleared up.

I have owned other brand water flossers in the past usually purchased via ebay. Although they were good, the plastic nozzles split after a couple of years and they are not sold separately. I needed something that was portable and I could purchase replacement nozzles if needed (which Phillips sell).

I upgraded to the Philips and so far, very very happy with the performance, easy to use, easy to clean. I use the device at least twice a day and only need to charge it once a fortnight. I use the lowest setting as this is enough for my teeth/gums.

Convenient stow feature for nozzle when travelling.

times and on this update we switched over to Philips Sonicare. The difference was felt immediately ... much cleaner teeth (similar to after a dentist visit) and clearly better at removing food stuck between teeth. The unit appears quieter, lasts approx. 3 weeks between needing a recharge (the travel case has a built in usb charge facility) and the functions are clearly displayed. Should have changed over sooner.

the clean I went out and purchased the tooth brush from JB HI FI. I’ve been using it for six months. I went back for my six monthly check up and they were impressed with the improvement to my oral health, stating that there was hardly any tartar/plaque buildup. The toothbrush makes sure you brush for 2 minutes and tells you to move on to the next quadrant every 30 seconds. It’s a rechargeable unit which lasts about 10 days. It has an indicator telling you when to change the brush heads, I easily obtained these on line at EBay I highly recommend this product to everyone

Size DOES MATTER Philips – Husband and I have both got Philips Respironics CPAP machines - him since 2017, me since 2019. I've opted for this style of mask since 2019 because I… Read more

am a middle-of-the-night-reader and the style allows me to use spectacles without removing the mask. I've replaced the mouth piece about 5 or so times since 2019 - the silicon seal separates on the lower edge causing an infuriating whistling. No way to fix it with tape - have tried - you just have to buy a new mouthpiece. Recently the mouthpiece again came apart, the frame was getting discoloured and the strappings velcro was failing to adhere & stay put. My husband thought he'd buy me a new kit for my upcoming birthday. I would have thought, when you order a specific size, that ALL components comply with the size ordered. Not so. According to Philips and the reseller (you can't buy directly from Philips), you have control over the size of mouth mask, but not in the face frame. So, having ordered the LARGE Dreamwear Full Face mask, the sealed bag came with - as advertised TWO Large mouth masks - but a SMALL and MEDIUM face frame. Apparently only 10% of the population who order the "large" kit, are unhappy with that - and actually require the large frame. Hmmm. Seems I am in the minority here. But this is predetermined by Philips. I would have thought it would make so much more sense that if you ordered Small, you'd receive a small and medium frame, but if you ordered Medium or Large, you'd receive a Meium or Large frame. Ordering Large kit and receiving a small and a medium frame was utterly ridiculous, uncomfortable and, for the price, ridiculous. Resellers need to give feedback to Philips - which I tried to do directly, but was told to get the reseller to pass on my feedback and suggestions. If I wasn't a middle-of-the-night reader I'd buy a completely different system after this interaction on getting new headwear. Life shouldn't be this difficult with sleep apnoea!

An Astonishing Display of “Unprofessional Support” – Complaint Regarding Philips Dreamstation Auto BiPAP Product Service. Dear Philips Management… Read more

Team,

I am writing this in what I can only describe as deep disappointment mixed with reluctant amusement at the quality of support I have received for the Philips Dreamstation Auto BiPAP recently purchased through your Bangalore office.

To recap, let me begin with the good part because it’s very short. In March 2025, I directly engaged with Philips Bangalore to purchase a Philips Respironics EverFlo oxygen concentrator for my father, who had been diagnosed with COPD. The device worked well, the support was prompt, and SWAAS (your supplier partner) delivered commendably. Based on that positive experience, I made the mistake of assuming this was your standard of service.

Fast forward to November 2025, after renting a Philips Dreamstation Auto BiPAP for five months, I finally purchased a brand-new unit, again relying on my earlier trust in your organisation. That trust now feels painfully misplaced.

The device was delivered on 6th November 2025 and worked normally. Then on 3rd December, my 75-year-old father experienced a sudden drop in pressure. As you hopefully understand, for someone with COPD, this isn’t a “minor inconvenience” it triggers panic, breathlessness, and anxiety. He is supported by my 70-year-old mother, neither of whom is technically inclined to troubleshoot a medical device that one would assume Philips engineers know best.

Since I am out of town, I reassured my father that help would arrive soon because I had reached out to the vendor and Philips representatives. How naïve of me.

Despite daily follow-ups, repeated requests, and multiple assurances (and I use the word “assurances” in the loosest possible sense), the support response has been nothing short of lethargic. In fact, “hopeless” would be an upgrade. The vendor made promises without action, and the Philips representative I contacted demonstrated no urgency, no ownership, and absolutely no understanding of what timely assistance means for a critical medical device.

A medical device whose proper functioning is directly linked to a patient’s health and wellbeing, I must emphasise because the gravity of that seems to have been completely lost on everyone involved.

As of today, 8th December, I still have no resolution. No remote guidance. No technician visit. Not even a serious attempt to assess the device.

This is five days of waiting for a machine that supports the breathing of a 75-year-old COPD patient.

One would think that with all the global chatter around Philips ventilator recalls and concerns about device reliability, the company would be bending over backwards to restore confidence. Instead, I am left regretting not taking my doctor’s advice and purchasing a ResMed device instead.

Let me be absolutely clear: This is not the service I signed up for. This is not the reputation Philips claims to uphold. And this is certainly not how a medical-grade life-supporting device should be handled.

If this issue is not resolved professionally, promptly, and with the seriousness it warrants, I will have no hesitation in working overtime to share this experience publicly and create awareness in the COPD community, so other families do not endure this unnecessary stress.

I expect an immediate response, a qualified technician visit, and a complete check of the device settings and functionality without further delay. I hope this complaint finally ignites a sense of urgency that has been glaringly absent so far.
