As for a vehicle breakdown, what Mike says is correct. I'm looking for a better solution than was offered to me recently with NRMA... I was told that I had probably lost the transmission line and cushing.... it was the day before ANZAC Day (public holiday) and I (a 79 year old recently, widowed) would have had to have waited for two days for a tow-truck...I paid for a local machanic to come and replace and fix it and he charged me $120 for 15 minutes cost of time etc. Could your company have offered me a better solution than that? In the situation you describe, we would have also sent a tow truck, but our wait time would have been within 60-90 minutes (hopefully less), and your car would have been taken straight to the mechanic of your choice. Looking at road side assistance, I live and travel regional areas western Australia, most small towns have authorised rac tow company's so rac I have peice of mind knowing no mater where I go down south I will be covered, how does 24/7 roadservices compare, if I was in a regional area am I going to have the same out reach as rac ?
