What truly impressed me was his honesty and professionalism. After consulting with his supervisor, they made the goodwill decision to replace my battery at absolutely no charge. It genuinely made my weekend and I am incredibly grateful for such an unexpected act of kindness.
My car is not a common make and Thomas went above and beyond by patiently going through the vehicle manual and even watching Youtube videos to ensure everything was done correctly. The job took longer than expected, but he approached it diligently, never rushed and did not charge me for the additional time.
In an industry where trust is everything, BOTG has earned mine completely. It is no surprise they are such a popular and reliable company. Their integrity, customer service and willingness to go the extra mile are second to none.
They have certainly gained a loyal customer in me and I would not hesitate to recommend BOTG to anyone needing battery assistance.
P.s : Taught me how to use a car battery charger if in case I require in the future.

we didn't think it would. Road service person turned up & got that wheel nut cover off & sure enough it was a lock nut. Road service person gave us all the options, we could have the car towed to the nearest tyre shop or he could put air in the tyre & we could carefully drive it there. We elected to drive the car there. Road service person then followed us there, just to make sure we arrived safe. We are young & this was our first ever flat tyre, so we were a little overwhelmed & didn't know what to do. Road service person was so gracious & run through all the steps for us, so next time we know what to do. He even brought up a photo on his phone to show us the lock nut we needed to purchase.

question I had already answered in the form, pushed additional insurance products, and kept me on the phone for over 10 minutes despite me repeatedly asking them to just email the quote. They insisted that wasn't possible. The moment I hung up, the quote arrived in my inbox. So apparently it was. It came in at roughly a third more expensive than every other provider I approached. Frustrating process, overpriced result. Won't be returning.

here's everything that went wrong; - no one answered the phone on a PH (is that a thing?) - I was on the phone for nearly an hour before I did get through to someone (next day) - I was told there was additional fees to pay to extract my car (because it wouldn't go in neutral, so specialised towing equipment was needed) — no issue here, as it's written in the T&Cs. - But when the roadside contractor turned up, no specialised equipment was used, and the car was just dragged onto the flatbed. - No car hire was offered in the interim. - Somehow the responsibility fell on me to liaise with the mechanic and contractor as to where my car should be left. Why? - I was charged $110 + what I already pay for roadside for this experience.
Doesn't make me feel comfortable or confident the next time I have an issue.
[UPDATE]: Budget Direct responded immediately through Product Review, asking for futher context on the matter, which I provided. Since then, nothing. They have told me they have tried to contact me (which is just false) and have since closed the matter, unresloved, depsite me trying to follow up.

Within less than 30 minutes from first talking to them, an assist vehicle was on the way to me with a replacement battery in case it was needed. They sorted me out as fast as I could have hoped for, and a stressful situation was made less so by the service of the call centre and the callout service. Highly Recommend.

What is most concerning is that I received a phone call asking where my vehicle was located, despite RAC already having this information since the claim was lodged. Then today, I received another call asking the exact same question. This shows a clear lack of communication and case management within the claims team.
As a customer, I expect my insurer to keep accurate records and actively manage my claim. Instead, I feel like I am repeating the same information over and over while receiving little to no progress. The delays, lack of updates, and poor coordination have caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation.
I would not expect this level of service from an insurance company and hope RAC improves its claims process for future customers.

significantly higher than last year she called up to stop the auto renewal to give herself time to check out others. She was told she would be charged $12 to cancel the auto renewal. The Coles lady then told my mother that Coles would see what they could do on the price, and that they would call back.
When the lady called back with her improved offer, she asked about all the details on the renewal quote, and the claims history details. My mother said that the two current claims noted (only one at fault) were the two this year but that there were two “no fault” claims in the prior year (no cost to Coles). The lady then went on to accused my 85 year old mother of lying and acting fraudulently by not disclosing the earlier claims. The lady asked why the earlier claims hadn’t been notified, to which my mother replied, they had, and gave the dates of the various letters from Coles she had received on the claims. The lady’s response was that the claims that had been missed off the renewal, as Coles had switched underwriter, so the older claims were not included on the renewal. This is hardly my mothers fault, and at no time had she claimed in any form that there were only the two current claims, it was a simple renewal letter that had the wrong details.
All this was very upsetting to her as she didn't think she had done anything wrong, it was the renewal that had the wrong details. So because their claims history was sketchy, they accused my mother of fraud.
Coles then declined her insurance because of this, even though they had sent her an automatic renewal form. This Decline of Insurance then had to be disclosed on any other insurances she tried to get quotes for, resulting in other insurers then declining the insurance. So all in all, simply because Coles had failed to transfer prior claims from the old Underwriter to the new Underwriter, my mother ended up having problems getting any insurance, as Coles had effectively black listed her by declining the insurance.
Nice job Coles, you failed to properly transfer claims history when you changed Underwriters then black listed an 85 year old, because of your error. She has since cancelled her other insurances with Coles (home and contents) as will I (both car and home and contents).
Absolutely shameful. Please feel free to let me know if you were also affected with this claims history problem, and feel free to cancel your policies with Coles, teach them that they cannot treat anyone this way, especially an 85 year old.
