process my request. 2nd attempt fail. Third attempt I got through. Robin, the amazing NRMA man saved me from a stressful situation & got me back on the road. I wasn't at home, I wasn't even anywhere near it. I'm just glad it was in the daytime & wasn't worried about my safety. NRMA always had a good name. I will find another service. Your automated system is a fail from me & when I can't rely on a service that put more stress on what was already a stressful situation, then that is a fail.

Within less than 30 minutes from first talking to them, an assist vehicle was on the way to me with a replacement battery in case it was needed. They sorted me out as fast as I could have hoped for, and a stressful situation was made less so by the service of the call centre and the callout service. Highly Recommend.

faults but would not communicate. Ignition relay checked. No power either. ECU problem was diagnosed on site and would need to be towed. Myself being an electrician systematically checked power sources and found blown main fuse next to relays that were checked. Replaced fuse and car is now working as it should. Gentleman was lucky to have spent 10 minutes looking at car. Very poor service and diagnosis from a qualified mechanic who was not looking interested to help.

From the very first call, the service was exceptional. Natasha greeted me warmly on the phone and handled everything professionally. Terry then followed up to confirm my exact location, which was greatly appreciated. Finally, Karen arrived in under 45 minutes — well ahead of the advised 90 minute waiting period. She was prompt, efficient, and extremely professional. A fantastic team effort from start to finish. Keep up the great work. Best regards, Gerry Clifford

AAMI that I was undergoing active chemotherapy for cancer and relied on my vehicle to attend treatment and medical appointments. Despite repeatedly asking about my options, I was never clearly informed that, if my vehicle was declared a total loss, it would be immediately written off, deregistered and that I would lose the ability to continue driving it. I was led to believe there would be further discussion before any irreversible action was taken.
Instead, I was later told my vehicle had already been deregistered. It came as a complete shock. I was left without the vehicle I depended on during cancer treatment and placed in the extremely difficult position of having to replace it while undergoing chemotherapy and with no employment income.
Communication between all departments was inconsistent and confusing. I was repeatedly referred between the assessor, the total loss team and other staff without receiving clear answers.
I ultimately had to lodge a complaint with AFCA before AAMI made an additional $5,000 ex gratia settlement offer to resolve the complaint.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding AAMI and choosing an insurer that values clear communication, transparency and fair treatment of its customers.

my vehicle to their repaired 40 minutes away, after complaining for 4 months, a repairer was found 15 minutes away. I took the vehicle to their repairer, but upon collection after repairs I found 3 items not fixed, the main problem was with the suspension which rendered the vehicle undriveable. It is now sitting in my garage. This was advised to Coles' friendly South African team, their reply was to lodge a complaint, 1 week later, after numerous phone calls and emails I finally found out that complaints are looked at after 10 working days. In despiration, I emailed Coles' complaints advising that I would be getting the car towed to an independent repairer to be repaired and the bill sent to Coles, to this I have not received a reply. After calling the claims again, demanding a reply, the friendly staff advised that she would send an email to the claims department and advised I may get a reply in 10 business days. I demanded a copy of the phone conversation so that I could lodge a complaint with the Financial Ombudsmen, her reply was that there is no phone contact, and a copy of the phone call must be approved by management, this may take 10 business days. My worst mistake was to ever look at Coles Car Insurance, I say to everyone, don't waste your time looking at their products, they are dodgy at best!

on 22 February 2025 - over 600 days for Suncorp Insurance to meet their insurance obligations. They rejected my claim for compensation - difference is sale price compared to RedBook value and other costs stating I authorised a non-Suncorp repairer to repair my car. I did not authorise this and there is no evidence that I did. AFCA could not review my complaint because it did not satisfy all the exceptions to the AFCA requirements, point 4. I had sold my car at the time of their review. I had to purchase another car. Suncorp rejected a second complaint I made for non-financial loss and stress. The total legal fees and other costs to Suncorp far exceeded the cost of assessing my car as a right off (aboit $18,000).
