What is the best way to raise a complain to someone that can help at AAMI. Someone professional and can make decisions. Not a call you back and sorry and empty apologies.
Don’t bother with their idr@aami.com.au team. They don’t respond. Go straight to AFCA and lodge a complaint there.
Make a call and state you wish to make a formal complaint and request to speak to the most senior person available. Request their employee number and name for your records. Keep meticulous records, you will need them. Each phone call ask to speak to the most senior person available, that is your only shot at resolution. The general staff are no help whatsoever
If I don't select hire car option, then have a small not at fault claim, can I get a hire car because the other party is responsible for costs?
Hi Max, I’m not sure about this. You will need to call AAMI & be on hold for 2 hours for someone to answer your call. Learn from the bad experience from us, join RACV, you save money & your valuable time. Plus you can avoid yourself stress/anxiety!
Hi I told aami that I could not travel very far fir the hail damage to my car. I was informed that someone would ring me in 1-3 days. On the fifth day I rang again and after aami ringing their repair people i received a call from their repairer telling me that I had ti travel to ascot park (29 mins away by google maps). There is a repairer two miles away - with a huge sign stating hail damage repairs, in John rice avenue. Can I use them as a repair company for my car? Thank you. Julia.

I had a trolley driver damage my car while it was parked. 'Hit and Run' situation and there is shopping centre video evidence showing what happened. However, AAMI in their wisdom have decided to deem that the excess paid to have my car repair will not be refunded on the basis that I did not provide the at-fault person's details? How could I as I was not there when this happened. Seems like a clever way to avoid the work involved in clearing me and going after the trolley-company contractor's insurance company to pay for my damages. It this not part of the Insurance service?
How do you decide who is at fault for collision
It goes by the road laws. For example, if the other person was supposed to give way and you were already in the intersection, then the other person is at fault.
Hi Wendy! Well it depends if you think fault of the other party, of course they will fight for you but it needs justification. Proof thanks
