ASUS ROG Rapture GT-A Series Questions & Answers
VerifiedMy apartment has FTTB, my question is will the GT-AX11000 work with NBN FTTB?
I am not a technician but I would believe that there is a connection this routers will connect to get internet access... Just like any other router. Just make sure you understand what is required for FTTB.
Ryan T, thanks for your answer. My understanding of FTTB and from what I've read about the different NBN connections is FTTN/FTTB require VDSL/VDSL2 ports.
I am sorry I am not a techie, so cant answer that question. I think you should contact ASUS direct. It will be powerful enough to serve everyone in you block of apartments. It is an amazing device.
Thaifan thanks for the idea I might just do that :)
Does the GT-AX11000 have a phone port for VOIP?
Not that I am aware of. You should search on Google for the features of the model. Aren't there apps like Viber that do that?
That's the biggest weakness of NBN. To use fax or telephone you need VOIP and you are locked into whatever modem your ISP provides. There is then a per use charge. The ROG router becomes an access point. If you don't need fax or landline the ROG router can become the main modem router coming off the NBN box.
