Hi, has anyone used the stroller with s baby younger than 6 months or do you have an idea of the suitable weight (rather than age) for the 6month + stroller? My daughter is very big and has the neck control of an older baby. Also, do you know what car seats the stroller fits? Does it fit a maxi cosi car seat?

Has anybody had issues with the canopy? Im currently unable to fold the stroller down due to the right side of the canopy not being able to go completely up with the handel, it only seems to turn clockwise only.

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the storage basket on a Yo-Yo 6+?

How much time can a baby stay on yoyo 6+? She’s almost 6months and strong!

Is there a way to secure the recline position? My son tries to sit up and drags the chair backing up with him trying to fight a nap. I would love him to be held down so he didn't fight it so much.

Can a different hood be attached to the Yoyo? It just doesn’t look like the baby would be protected from the elements as it looks pretty small and I don’t want to have to carry around a parasol if traveling to different countries.

Hi guys,

I’m not able to bend down the hood and fold the stroller due to the same issue. Does anyone faced this issue?

Yes it's a little hard to do with mine but you can force it a bit and it should work

Did you solve this problem? How??

I have the old version of the Yoyo stroller and am having a hard time removing the hood. Any advice how to do it would be appreciated since I would like to attach the bassinet part and can only be done once hood is removed

People with the yo-yo, do u find the canopy big enough to cover bub while they are in the stroller? Esp while sitting up and out and about?

Emer G

It does go down a lot so covers well. I don't use this pram for big walks and such so haven't had an issue with my boy being overexposed to the sun. You can buy an umbrella that attaches to the pram, or a sunshade that covers the whole pram :)

Can the footmuff from the newborn nest be used as footmuff on the seat?

If not, where can I buy the footmuff in Australia. Have never seen it advertised on any site that sells the yoyo!

I realize this answer is a bit late, but in case anyone else is wondering, no you cannot use the footmuff from the newborn nest as a footmuff on the seat. I just ordered the Babyzen footmuff from Nordstroms.

Has anyone taken their Yoyo overseas with Qantas? Don't want to pay for it if I can't carry on!

Thanks

Have taken it on multiple flights domestic and overseas with Qantas and have had no trouble with taking it on planes as carry on. Sometimes they doubt it can fold down that well and I have had to show it folded once.

Thank you, hoping this will work for me!

How it moves on cobble road or how noisy it is on not so flat road? For me it seems that it is like dragging a suitcase...freaking noisy. In my opinion this pushchair is designed for travelling (as you can take inside cabin) and using in shopping mall where is always 100 % flat surface and easy to maneuver.

dancer+mom
dancer+mom

I agree that it's best for flat surfaces but it can handle other terrains in a pinch. I personally don't take the Yoyo on outside walks (have a different pram for that purpose). I don't find it noisy but then again it makes sense that on cobble stones etc it wouldn't be the quietist as it's not designed for that terrain. In general I would recommend the Yoyo for quick shopping center trips or as you said, travel.

Thank you for fast reply. The reason why we bought Yoyo 6+ as it is small and compact and on several youtube videos it is presented as a urban pushchair. I wish we bought Babyjogger 4-wheeler. So we probably sell our Emmaljunga and buy BabyJogger for walks outside and Yoyo keep for shopping and travel.

I have used baby zen yoyo on cobble stones quite a bit (London, Naples,Vienna). It can handle this surface with a few bumps and I was very surprised how well it held up. Never found noise to be an issue but then again it wasn't at quite times I used it. I'm sure if it were 5am on cobble stones the noise could be an issue.

Hi

I've just purchased the YOYO 6+ for my baby to travel with. My baby is only 4 months old (but very strong with good head control) do you think it would be possible to use with her on a three week trip we are about to take (it's not possible to buy the 0+ model where I am)? She won't be spending a large amount of time in it as she prefers the carrier these days but it would be handy to have for naps on days out etc. I guess I need to know if the recline is low enough for her to lay on and are the straps adjustable to a small size? I do not fancy having to carry the chameleon on holidays with us.

Thanks

Theresa

I would say 'yes'. Our son was 5 months old when we started using yoyo. Straps are well designed and you can adjust the length and shoulder hight too. Though it doesn't become a 180° flat bed, 150°-ish is good enough for our son. We've never had any issues to this day.

Rebecca
Rebecca

I would say 'yes' if she can manage the seated position in the chameleon well enough. We transitioned our daughter at 4 months in that and did one trip to the shops in the Yoyo at that age and she didn't seem to have any issues.

I am torn between Babyzen Yoyo and Quinny Zapp Xtra 2. My only problem with Yoyo is that when it is fully reclined, your kid's legs will be at a 90 degree angle. It doesn't look very comfortable to me. What's your opinion on this?

asp
asp

Can't compare with Quinny Zapp Xtra as I've never 'actually' seen one. My son has no problems whatsoever sleeping in Yoyo, on the contrary he sleeps better in his stroller than his cot during nap times. But every little person is different so I'd suggest that you try them both with your child in.

My daughter has been in the yoyo from about 15 months old and has never had any issues with not being comfortable. I can tell you know that the Yoyo is certainly easier to fold (less steps) and has way more storage basket wise.

firsttimemama
firsttimemama · Yoyo 6+

I'm looking to buy a babyzen yoyo for my 7 month old but does it recline so he can sleep? I can't find any responses to this question. I already have the Bugaboo Buffalo (which is incredibly good but certainly not compact nor foldable with one hand - hence the need for the yoyo).

ABiel
ABiel

Yep it does recline. I got mine when my son was 8 months old and he slept in it perfectly. Still does at 15 months too

asp
asp

It doesn't 'fully' recline, meaning you don't get that 180° flatness but I'd say only a little shy of it. My son has never had a problem with it and sleeps comfortably in... hope this helps.

Raspberrymojito

I also own the bugaboo buffalo and now the yoyo. A perfect pair i think!! Haven't used the seat yet, only the newborn nest, but the recline looks pretty good to me.

Hi, I was about to purchase the Yoyo, as we have the Zen pram and love it, but realised the max weight for the Yoyo is 15kg. Is this correct? My little one is almost 12kg, so thinking it may not get so much use before he is too big

ABiel
ABiel

Hi, I can't comment on the weight limit as my son is only 12kg now. However, I've also loaded lots of shopping bags and my nappy bag on to the back of it as well with no issues.

Phoebe H

Hi it can definitely carry more than that.. I've tried and tested and pushed with one hand! I love it so much I wish they invented it when I had my first born nearly 6 years ago!

I'm very tall - almost six foot - does anyone else who is tall or whose husband's are tall think this will be an issue since the handlebar is fixed? Thanks

Cindy Z
Cindy Z

My husband is 182cm and he thinks this stroller is perfect. The height of the handle is just right. He can push it single handed. The wheels are very smooth so it is very easy to control.

ann

hi zoe, its actually better suited for a tall person. im short and petite and had to adjust to the handlebar height. u should find it okay. if youre buying from a shop better play around with it first. goodluck! i hope u will love it as much as i do!:)

Hi I am having problems tightening the harness around the waist - has anyone else had this problem? My nearly ten month old is 9kg and so can't be too small for it.
