Balsam Hill Questions & Answers
Thank you for the reviews......I will not be buying a Balsam hill tree!.
I was concerned about the negative reviews as well and almost decided not to buy a tree from Balsam Hill. I'm glad that I took the risk and purchase the Silverado Slim. The tree and the service was brilliant. So please consider good reviews from previous customers as well :)
I went for a $49 tree as they (kmart) had completely sold out and I am thrilled with it....its really nice....wish I could post a picture x
Also please remember to read all the reviews. I don’t regret my purchase at all. But the first prepping out of the box did take a LONG TIME. Fluffing every single branch from being packaged into that box. Each year after that has been easier but it does take a good amount of effort to get your tree looking just right. If you want a quick tree to put up I’ll admit balsam hill may not be the right fit for you. But if you love setting up and decorating your tree and enjoy the process then you’ll be rewarde with an amazing tree!! I’ve had my pre lit Vermont for four years and still love looking at it!
I bought a 270cm Balsam Hill Christmas Tree and after 3 years the lights don't work any more. The adapter has blown. Balsam Hill REGRET that they cannot replace the adapter, not even if I pay for it! They have told me to look for a new one in local hardware stores. I have done so, including specialty electrical supply shops, who have really gone out of their way for me but no-one can supply an adapter with the same amps. I can see from the many reviews here that others have had this issue? Can anyone tell me where I can buy a replacement adapter?
It might help you to know the amperage can be higher, just not lower.
Dear Camela Radio parts in Spencer st Melbourne. They'll sort the issue of the blown transformer/adaptor.They have access,to all sorts of unique electrical parts. Regards Ioannis
Hi Carmela, just wondering what the outcome of this was for you as we have the same issue (due to a very poor quality transformer which is sparking when plugged in). Did you ever managed to replace this, and if so, from where?
