Omg I was going to get a product from this shop but after reading ( not just the customer reviews) but their answer to their costumers, Im in absolutely shock. I have never seen this sort of customer service answer anywhere but at the small bodega owned my a grumpy old man who lives in my small town. Shocking.
Hi Cinthia, I feel the same way when I read the bad reviews but I rang the store (they're in QLD) to make sure they had plenty of Joovy Nook highchairs in stock before I ordered. The lady was lovely - then & there she walked into the warehouse & said there were several in stock. I didn't want back orders so I ordered it immediately online & received within 3 days in Sydney. Good communication solves a lot of concerns. Pick up the phone & talk to them before you place an order. I gave this store 5 stars on 'product review'
Yes, this is a first for me. I am mortified by there responses and being pushed into taking a product I do not need. If I’m buying on line, then I have never had to call up the company as well. It is on line. This is the reason they sell on line. I see it front of me and what they advertising is what I expect to be available. I shouldn’t be double checking the information. Again, this would be only company I have come across that has put that responsibility on the buyer. Let’s get this straight. On line shopping is different to in store buying. I purchase 90% of what I buy on line because I do check prices, value, shipping and I also compare it to store value. I’ve been doing it for a decade. This is a first. And correct. Their responses really do not leave any room for correction.
I was having a baby and then I had the baby and I was desperately trying to get a chair for the room because my back was killing me and after birth I was in pain and uncomfortable. I needed it finished. So I was trying to get something and I had two previous delays.

Hi, We have been in business since 2006 and outlasted all of our competitors since then due to our good service, prices and products. We have supplied well over half a million orders and sites like this represent 0.007 of a percent of those at best - that's all reviews good and bad.
So that needs to be put into perspective. Yes we are passionate about our small family business and we do correct facts when people blatantly lie to blackmail us in the background (which you do not see on here)
If there is a delay - we advertise it in large bold text "On Backorder" and "ETA FOR DISPATCH: APPROXIMATELY XXXXX"
This is shown on the product page right at the add to cart, in the cart and the checkout in a red banner.
In general, the people who carry on here are ones who knew it was not available at the time, place their order, then change their mind and use this site to blackmail us into refunds or discounts in the background or threaten or get involved in fraud as one person in this thread has done.
We have a strict policy on this - Once we receive threats - all offers are off the table and the contract to purchase stands as we refuse to be bullied and blackmailed or have our staff abused.
Haha this response just made me laugh , still accusing the customers of telling lies. I can’t believe this store is still running and isn’t exhausted from having to respond to the ridiculous ticket system they have with threats and accusations to people who are at the most vulnerable and exciting time in their lives . The fact they have to monitor literally every review site daily , ready to fire off a reply with the same rubbish “you knew what you were doing “ “ you agreed “ .” This is a lie” is absolute crap . Not to mention the threatening , nasty email replies they send you ! I dropped by to see if there had been any change in the status of reviews after my review some 12 years ago and sadly they have not learnt at all . What is a shame is that they are permitted to continue to wrought unsuspecting customers who haven’t had the good fortune to read reviews and warnings prior to purchasing from them . As always the only positive reviews have been strategically placed by them in amongst the plethora of poor ones trying to boost their rating ! It’s also sad they call themselves an Australian family run business as it’s disrespectful to all the true Aussie family businesses that have wonderful products and supply amazing customer service !

Hi, I bought car seat from the store and I have lost the receipt. I requested a copy of of the receipt from the store but they said they don’t keep the records and they throw away it which sounds unrealistic. Can I please get a copy of receipt for my purchase
They told me they record every phone call and email.. I’m sure they have it some where?? Do you have a date? They would have to keep things for tax
I do have the date but the receptionist is so rude and keep saying they don’t keep records.

I can not believe this business is still operating. I had my terrible experience with Grubs in Oct last year, they actually caused me so much stress my baby came the day we finally picked up our replacement item 5 weeks premature. This business needs to be named and shamed on a large scale.

Bubs n grubs - given your response, you clearly didn't even understand the question asked!! To be expected I suppose as it's just the same as your replies to customer reviews which are appalling and an absolute joke. Repeated bullying and lack of respect to your customers is cringeworthy to read.
Perhaps you should employ a competent person to help you with your customer replies as it's cleary not working out well for you.

Was threatened also - but again, all talk. When I left a review on google, they responded by posting all my personal details in the reply so I pulled my review. Left my review on this site though. Horrific company, absolute bullies.
We halted credit card payment when fault goods arrived so it never cost us anything. Spent some money on legal advice also had a lot of stress in last two months of pregnancy but a very happy ending as gave away all the goods (damaged and not) to a refugee family from Darfur. Charity even mended all the cot and change table that arrived damaged (twice). These are bad people. Don't trade with them. Hope all the respondents here are able to move on and babies are thriving.
Yes and they threaten everyone who has had a bad experience with them.They actually appeared on A Current Affair regarding their customer service. You can tell the character of a business/person when things don't go right and their responses speak for itself.
NB the owner is also the help desk person.
I suggest that the more people who go to Fair Trading or the Civil and Administrative Tribunal (who usually rule in favour of the consumer) about them the better! It's what I'm currently doing.
The Grubs team threatened my pregnant wife of 8 months. Disgusting sick people! I hope others will read this forum before considering using these jokers. They threatend legal action against me.....all i wanted was my bloody cot delivered before my child was born.
I will be filing an application in the NSW Consumer Tribunal as soon as we’re back from holidays. I’ve been doing battle with them since last September. I encourage everyone who has a grievance with them to lodge complaints with Fair Trading (as I have). They keep a register of dodgy operators and more than 10 complaints per month will earn The Grubs a spot on the Name and Shame list. These guys deserve prime position on there.
I am in the same boat - left a review on google and was threatened with legal action with numerous emails threatening, harassing and bullying me to amend and remove it. I can’t believe that they are allowed to do that and get away with it. Since they wanted factual points what I did was updated my review with actual time and date of the owner’s emails and copying and pasting his actual wording to prove how bad the customer service is. They can avoid so many of these complaints if they just pick up the phone and apologise and actual help the customer to sort out the issue.
they always blame the customer for any issues that arise with their products or poor service. to them its always the customers fault and never theirs. I wouldn't lose sleep over it and neither should you.
This store took my money for a product I paid for but never received. They refuse to give me a refund and cut off communication. Their customer service staff I communicated with lacks common sense, lacks the ability to do customer service. After discovering so many negative reviews and experiences about this store, I think it all just reflect the business owner's business practice and mentality. After all, it is he or her who hire and "train" those people to do the job the way it is.

Hahaha, no, they just threaten & talk big. Then when you basically laugh at their ridiculous threats, they go silent! I've lodged a complaint with the OAIC (Office of the Australian Information Commissioner) as they have breached the Privacy Act by posting my personal details on a website called ebuyers reviewed. They'll be investigated & fined for breaching the Privacy Act.
I came so close to buying from them online but after being burnt by another online store, I thought I'd check on this site and I'm so glad I did! I can't believe the replies from customer service to the negative reviews on here. Thanks to all the reviewers who helped me avoid what may have been a massive headache!
I had almost $1000 goods in my cart on this company’s website before DH suggested to look them up. Boy am I glad I did! Who would have thought that an Australian company will be this rude and tactless in the manner with which they communicate with their customers in public??

This store deserves to be exposed on A Current Affair what the did to us by not replacing damaged nursery furniture but making us go through hell since 15th march is outrageous anyone agree ?
Exposing us for what? Did you not follow the process of checking the product before signing that you recived the goods in good working order and condition, despite being emailed specifically to warn you and despite the note on the consignment note to give you a final reminder before signing that it was all in good condition? You want to blame us because you did not check the goods first despite all the warnings? It is outragous that people blame the retail store when a courier damages something and that same person despite emails and bold print on invoices requesting the do not sign the consignment note without checking the goods, does so, then gets upset when they can't get it replaced. It is outragous that some people claim transit damage when the item was not damaged in transit but in the assembly process in their home. It is outragous tyhat poeple go out of their way to defame our small family business on sites when we went out of our way to do the right thing and have you be fully aware of the correct process - yet you ignore the process and throw a tantrum and become vindictive and nasty and try to hurt us because of your failure to follow a simple process which applies to all businesses like ours. The difference is - we advise our custommers several times before the delivery is receiver, before it is despatched and on the consingment note - our competitors do nto do any of that.
We offer to supply parts at cost price to heklp out but instead, nah - defame the small business with lies, attack them and lets make them go broke because we screwed up and didn't check our goods before signing for them.
A Current Affair have been notified and have issued a response.

The worst after-sales service from any online retailer I have bought from. 6 days of being told to pay for a courier to return damaged goods(cost more than the product) then being told my postage quote from Australia Post was wrong. They do not cover any return expenses for damaged/faulty products, would not give me a refund or replacement , despite sending all the photos requested and following their procedures. . End result? A total waste of time and money and putting up with days of their arguing the point and refusing to cover any damaged returns. A Current Affair investigation?. Happy to pass on all their correspondence with me so people can judge for themselves.
This store HAS been featured on a Current Affair a few years ago. Obviously didn't take anything on board from that or from these comments, since they haven't changed their business tactics.
Its such a shame that this business has been able to continue with its shameful ,unethical practices . This website as helped warn off so many but still I see so many poor unsuspecting customers are being caught at a time in their lives which should be joyful .

Bubsngrubs are crooks - as simple as that! The only people who have a good experience with them are when goods don't arrived damaged - if they do which is most of the time then they're useless and rip off merchants!
Toni Seek legal advice . We did and that put the wind up them to do what they were legally bound to do . We had our money refunded for goods they sent damaged in the first place immediately. Don't let them hoodwink you into believing you are responsible for receiving damaged goods . Don't be frightened by the vail legal threats they make either . Have a read through old reviews they are riddled with their threatening comebacks to customers who were treated poorly and spoke out ! They have no substance !
I honestly am amazed that they have not but shut down after all the complaints . It's a sign of the poor legal system we have and the lack of support you get from consumer affairs. Fight on don't let them win in wroughting you , it's so Un Australian !!!
Would also like to ad again Buyer Beware you are taking a massive risk in buying anything from them . I have noticed that again after receiving a heap of new poor reviews , miraculously a few 5 star positive ones appear! Funny that the vast majority are from newly signed up reviewers with only have made that 1 review all around the same day with similar reviews written . An observation that was made back in 2011 and any other time I receive an update on the latest unhappy customer!
Read between the lines no doubt very few positive reviews are actually genuine .
Yes well wish I had seen all this before I purchased The threats is unbelievable how their dodgy ethics hasn't cost a child it's life is beyond me. In their email apparently I'm the only one who has ever had an issue with them
