Thanks, but really no point. As I think you can see from the multiple other posts, the product really isn’t fit for purpose. Thankfully the Resene Zylone Sheen has gone on nicely without streaks. A major pain having to sand the walls, but now all done.

Change to a dead flat. Or if you're quick enough slap it on then lay it all off with an 11ml. Or have two people rolling keeping a wet edge

Hi there Chester! Ceilings look best with a flat/matt finish since they reflect light differently to vertical surfaces. While Dulux Wash & Wear low-sheen is suitable for ceilings, you might get a better finish with Dulux Ceiling White, which is much matter in appearance and less likely to give you patchy results. The correct answer is: Don't use Dulux Wash & Wear for any application whatsoever. Read the reviews here. Worst product on the market, Dulux should be ashamed

Hi Frances, Great question, you absolutely can! You may need 3 coats to achieve a truly matt look, and we recommend you keep stirring the paint continuously as you go, as this will ensure your paint is evenly matt. Hi Mary, For an ensuite close to the ceiling we recommend using 2-3 coats of Dulux Wash & Wear pLUS Kitchen & Bathroom - this has additional anti-mould properties, perfect for bathrooms! You can also use the classic Wash & Wear, but please keep in mind that it does not have the anti-mould additives. I just finished painting exterior of my house with Dulux weather shield and have half a 10L tin left. Can I have the color changed to 1/4 strength to paint ceiling in out door area

If your interior walls are in good condition with no chipping, cracking, peeling or flaking then you can simply wash the walls with SugarSoap, then rinse off with clean water. Then coat with three coats of Dulux Wash & Wear. Please note we always recommend three coats for beast colour vibrancy and washability! Hi Kate, This is a great question! You can certainly use Dulux Wash & Wear on ceilings, but there are a few things to consider. Ceiling paints are generally flat to best hide any roller marks, as ceilings can be very difficult to paint and also show joint lines easily. Using a higher sheen level can make roller marks and joint lines more visible, which can be difficult to then rectify. Hi Robert, Thanks for your question! While Wash & Wear is a premium paint for most interior surfaces, for ceilings you would be best with a paint that has an ultra-flat finish so that roller marks and joints don't show up. We recommend instead using Dulux Ceiling White. You could also opt for added mould preventatives with Dulux Ceiling White PLUS Kitchen & Bathroom for up to 10 years mould protection! Hi Susan, Thank you for your query Dulux Acrylic Sealer undercoat can be used over interior walls it is highly recommended wherever a smooth finish is required. Any other questions you can call us on 13 25 25 (option 2). All the best!

Hi Kay, the exact thing happened to me. A wall in our hallway and the paint was so ugly and patchy especially when looking back towards the door. Dulux told me I was using the wrong roller, I wasn't, they told me I hadn't applied enough coats, I ended up at 4 and it was still horrible. The person I had spoken to for help was rude and condescending. He has since tried calling me 4-5 times a day over 3 days when I just didn't want to speak to him after his rudeness. Then I went to a local paint shop who told me to give the whole wall a light Sanding, and use taubmans endure low sheen instead. 2 coats and it looks terrific. The dulux has a horrible consistency and it dries as fast as you can apply it, hence all the horrible patchy marks as its drying while you're still applying it. In a nut shell, just don't use Dulux paint, it's overpriced and poor quality. The product review score says it all. I recommend Taubmans or Haymes is also very good paint. Hopefully that helps a bit.

Hi David The Dulux Wash and Wear Low Sheen is only suitable for wall surfaces. It is not durable enough to be applied to furniture. If you are looking for a low sheen product for furniture, you may like to take a look at the Dulux Aquanamel Low Gloss product. Hi Rebecca Dulux Wash and Wear is a decorative wall paint, and as such we have not tested the Dulux Wash and Wear with any type of artist paints. Overall we would not recommend you use a decorative wall paint for an artist painting. If you were interested in using it as a base paint for a canvas painting we would suggest that you undertake a test trial to ensure that the Dulux Wash and Wear is compatible with your acrylic art paints. Hi Janice, I am not a professional by any means, but this is the same problem that my husband and I faced. The paint dried very quickly. If you rolled over a section that you had just applied it lifted, streaked and created rough patches. We we using the recommended rollers and had prepared the walls with sugar soap. We also used the 3 in 1 undercoat. We are now in the process of re-sanding the wall and switching to a different product. Hope that this helps.
