Insured events – You are not covered for Loss or damage: to a heat-resistant item such as a cooking appliance, dryer, heater or iron if it ignites; caused by any process involving the application of heat where there is no flame, including cigarette burn marks and scorch marks caused by an iron or radiator (unless you have taken out Comprehensive cover); or caused by the ignition of any mineral spirit or dangerously flammable substance brought onto or kept at your site in quantities which are in breach of any statutory regulations.

has anyone needed to claim again woolie insurance were they fair and quick to respond to claims
Definitely not, so far I have been promised 3 times a callback, yet to receive one. Took a week for car to be picked up from my suburban location and then over a week to be booked into the system thereafter.
I had a third party property damage and last year in June I decided to upgrade to comprehensive as the difference in price was not much. The request was made on the phone, all done ,got the confirmation email, printed it, put it in a file Without reading it. What a silly thing to do. In Nov. last year the van developed some engine problems and decided to cancel the insurance. Got the email confirmation as per 21.11.22. When checking my credit card statement now in Jan.23 ,I've noticed that I was charged for Dec. 22 and Jan. 23 for the same insurance, same car. When I got the confirmation email from my file , to my surprise I discovered that my upgrade from third party, was made to a third party again , not comprehensive. I rung the insurance, they say that they charged me because they can't trace my cancellation to the initial third party insurance. My question is, can you have two insurances with same company for the same car in the same time ? If you request an upgrade/which was not done anyway/ don't you assume that the previous would be automatically cancelled ? Now, there is no communication anymore and I will contact the Insurance Ombudsman. I will never have anything to do with this company .

I lodged my claim and was notified 7 days later they were writing it off. I told them I want my car replaced as I am entitled to new for old replacement. Now they are ghosting me. I'm regretting choosing them now.

You can hardly reach us on 1300 10 1234, do make sure you have adequate food and water supplies close to hand as you will be placed on hold for many, many hours... you will enjoy our on hold music for hours on end! your time is not important to us at all, we are solely concerned with taking your money then screwing you around as much as possible should you need to make a claim or god forbid try to contact us! customer service is no interest of ours but we will pretend to care! good luck trying to get what you paid for.... we really couldn't care less about you or any of our other clients for that matter.. our bottom line is our sole concern, we really don't care about your useless car lol.
Got a quote, and it was better than 5 other insurers. However, looking at all the negative reviews, I would have to have rocks in my head if I went with them.
The pricing is so attractive but the cover just isn't worth it in my experience. Any issue with the claims and it takes days to get a reply and they dont seem to want to help. Suncorp insurance seems to be the best cover although its a little pricey
I've been with Youi for quite a few years now and have always had good customer service when I go about renewing my policy. We go through the same dance each year where they send me a policy with the premium increased, I negotiate and get it down a bit and come away feeling like they have done me a favour! I am sure that many people would be devastated to find out how much their vehicle is NOT worth, mainly because people have a love affair with their vehicle. To find that my Ford Territory Ghia is only worth 4.5K (165K on the clock) and they are asking 11% of that for a premium is a bit of a shock.

Just want some understanding. When doing your car comprehensive insurance it asks when did you obtain your full drivers licence then when I click info it only states that your learner licence/permit isn't included so does this mean by me being on my provisional 1 licence then that's classed as a full licence ??
