Evolve College Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi - I’m interested in hearing from those who have graduated from Evolve Diploma course and now out working in the real world. Do you think you have gained the necessary skills to be competent in the workplace? Do you feel this course in on par with other providers? Positives/negatives? Thank you
Hi, if you like we can speak via email regarding this. ledosdbe@gmail.com
What is the virtual massage process a lot of people are mentioning? I can’t find any reference to it on your website?
Thanks
Steve
This course also requires 50 to 70 hours of massage (1 massage is 100mins) that is done within varying times set by the college, you upload a live massage. I don't think they really watch what you do either
4 main modules also require 15hours each of off campus massage plus another component that requires I think 10hours
My problem is wad when they only have 2-3 days that you can upload and if you're in WA iy is very difficult
My mate completed his diploma elsewhere in half the time
Hope this helps and all the best
As a follow up to Billy's response above, Virtual Clinic hours are dependant on when you enroled, so quoting 50-70 hours is incorrect. Please feel free to contact Evolve College to confirm the supervised clinical hour requirements for your course.
Warm regards Jo
Hi Jo, it has taken 11months for Evolve to respond.... poor customer service. We decided to enrol with RMIT and are not regretting this decision. RMIT have great staff, wonderful facilities and deliver a brilliant course, no virtual anything at RMIT all hands on and real industry placements. Evolve could learn from this.
This is an out and out lie. The guy training in our class was a nurse, had never done a massage in his life, I was paired with him, he had no idea, that's your new Perth teacher, stop lying to people please All our Trainers are fully qualified and working massage practitioners, along with holding a TAE (Training and Assessment Certificate). Graduates may enter a training program to become a clinical assessor. During the upgrade period we had some already qualified and practising professional massage therapists who attended classes with students to upgrade their qualification to the latest.
Hi Steve Thank you for your response, and I do apologise I didn't monitor the Q&A section of Product Review closely enough and I did miss a few messages - I now have a daily reminder which will rectify this. Great that your experience with RMIT has been excellent and we wish you all the best with your massage career Steve. Warm regards Jo
Is overseas students (Malaysian) can apply diplomat remedial massage courses?
Do COE is well?
This question was answered from a direct enquiry to Evolve College.
Has anyone completed the upgrade course and are now providers for medibank?
Yes absolutely Emma. We have students graduating every week, including students who completed the upgrade to the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage, who now have all their provider numbers including Medibank.
Hi Emma I still believe some students are having trouble getting their provider numbers still, many hoops to jump through It also sounds like provider numbers for massage will be a thing of the past in the next couple of years as health costs continue to rise, insurance companies pay out a lot for massage and the system is still often rorted by your shopping centre clinic
At this current time, Only one association will allow Evolve students have medibank numbers - AMT; every other association will refuse to give you medibank numbers... why? that's a very good question and you will have to ask the associations yourself. Do your research before proceeding any further with this college
Not so sure how Jo knows that weekly graduating students all have their provider numbers including medibank. Do they all call you and tell you they had no problems getting it. I've dealt with Jo before and got nothing but half truths and disinterest, as her reply above. How come she doesn't reply to some of these other comments, would love to hear the answers of what we all got put through, wish I never chose them
Hi Billy Yes I do stay in touch with graduating and graduated students which is a wonderful part of my job, and I work closely with graduates and employers who are looking for quality practitioners to fill positions in their companies. All students I have spoken with have all their provider numbers. I am very happy to speak with you at any time about your graduation and anything else you need to discuss regarding provider numbers Billy. Warm regards Jo
Hi Lidia I do apologise that I missed your message from last year as a notification did not come through. Evolve College works with five associations, so there is plenty of choice for students to work with an association that offers what they are looking for, and successfully apply for their provider numbers. Warm regards Jo
