Why was my Gaggia made in Romania?

I have purchased three gaggia coffee machines in the last couple of years two from different suppliers in Australia and one direct from Italy. All three were made in Romania. Only my gaggia MDF coffee grinder was made in Italy. Having said that I really haven't had major problems with any of the machines. Hope you enjoy your new coffee machine :)
