Yes 40cc. The last 2 digits in this range are the approximate cc. ie. the 350 = 50cc, the 359 = 59cc, the 365 = 65cc etc. But it's also important to consider how many KW a saw is rated at to understand its power. This one is 2KW. The stihl equivalent to compare it with (if you have one) is probably the MS231. And yes poster above, the 365 is one of the best saws ever made (or at least the 365 special is). If this is half as good as that saw it's a winner.
