Kmart Anko Stainless Steel Blender Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: BL9706-CB and DZ-1613Just made a smoothie now I can't get the jug off the motor part
Be VERY aware of the lack of quality of this blender I bought one and the 2nd time I used it (to make a smoothie) it actually caught fire Thank God I keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen or things could have been really bad Do as I did and take your blender back to the store and get a refund And don't listen to the garbage they tried to sell me " we can't refund you as it's not in the original condition" Keep waving the warranty under their noses and tell them you want to speak to the manager if necessary

How do I remove the base from the glass jar? It is so dirty under there! I removed the two screws from the bottom, and can see that there is a lever of some kind in the handle, but I can't see how I am supposed to remove it. Please help.

I am unable to remove the blade base from the bottom of the jug so consequently there seems to be leakage from underneath the motor unit.
Hi Judy, please see link for our instruction manual:https://www.kmart.com.au/wcsstore/Kmart/pdfs/42894698_Manual.pdf. If you are still experiencing this issue, please head to our store so a team member can assist.
The base does not separate from the glass top. It is real failing of this blender. Subsequently it is harder to clean. I bought one and it was a mistake.
Likewise - such an annoying fault. would love to hear from anyone who has managed to separate jug from base - necessary for cleaning
I found myself frantically searching the internet for solutions, deeply frustrated as I attempted to figure out how to detach the entire base from the jug of my blender as well. Mold had begun to accumulate in the crevice between the glass and plastic, so it was a serious product flaw. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the base was threaded, resembling a twist-to-open mechanism. Initially, I suspected it might have been permanently glued during manufacturing, but I found that it featured a locking mechanism that required disassembly for removal.
Here is what I did: 1) If the blender is fully assembled, turn it upside down and twist the base connected to the blade (the smaller central part). Look for small lock symbols indicating the directions for locking and unlocking the gasket, then remove the blade. 2) Underneath, you'll find a small screw securing the remaining base to the glass. Unscrew it. The small plastic piece holding the screw in place is detachable; simply push it out. This component is what prevents the base from twisting off. Once you've removed the screw and its locking mechanism, the base should easily unscrew, allowing you to separate all the pieces.
I really hope this explanation is helpful. It was such a relief for me to finally resolve the issue. Best of luck!
Thank you so very much for these PERFECT directions! Much appreciated.

Can I blend biscuits in this blender , to make pie crust and slice bottoms
Hi Sonia, yes you can!
Just bought brand new Anko blender, followed all the instructions and it doesn't turn on at all.
Got one as a gift. Made a smoothie, and it won't unlock to remove the cup, any suggestions
Take back to Kmart. Terrible design so you cant remove the bottom cup. Buy the next model / price bracket up
Thanks
the jug and blade assembly will not lock into the base ,has anyone had the same issue
yes Max..its a stupid design...take it back and get a refund before you break it like I did! gerry
Just bought one but can't get the base to screw back onto the glass jar! There is a rubber gasket around the glass jar. The base just drops off. Any ideas?
Hi Gezza, APOLOGIES - Just found out that my blender is an older version and not the current model. There is a pdf manual for the current model, further down this page under "Details" OLDER MODEL INSTRUCTIONS: Hope this works for you with my very (not) techhie lingo. Place the black plastic collar with the short side down on the bench, the deeper side up. Drop the blade assembly into the collar, so that it sits flat on the ledge. Put the silicone gasket on top of the blade assembly and poke it down so it sits on the flange. Lifting the collar (& all) screw into the base of the glass jug. Phew - managed to not call anything a "thingy" or "duvalaki". Hope that helps, if not you can always return to Kmart Cheers :D
ok will try thanks!!!
The blender stopped working within 1 month of purchase, maybe overloaded a bit. Is there a option to repair or reset the blender or I just have to throw it?
What did you do Manisha ? I have same problem now
Trashed it in hard waste
Purchased today. Can't unscrew Blade assembly from Glass jug.
Please clearly explain correct rotational direction necessary to remove Blade assembly?
Thank you

Bit late for Geyun maybe but this annoyed me too - the trick is using the rectagonal tabs between the thing that turns the blades and the outside part of the jug that fits into the main unit to turn the base of the blender clockwise so the base moves independently from jug
Just bought one and found your answer. This is the worst design of any blender I have ever seen. Madness
